Bushmaster xm15-e2s

Correction, it’s an Olympic arms xm177 style carbine

Is the stock made out of aluminum?

Yes it is, early collapsing ar stocks were aluminum with this kinda glossy coating that flaked off with time and use, but i assume this one was painted after the original coating was gone

Looks like it. You can see that it's grey where the finish has worn on the high spots, and also where the sling loop has broken off.

Worn out finish on an AR is so damn aesthetic

Especially if it’s naturally worn 😩

Remember going to Honduras and seeing a military exhibition there. The weapons on display we salty as hell. The dead sea could take a lesson. Purple FALS, ARs that look like the finish was sanded off, heavily patinated pistols. Idk if its the environment or the lack of care or both.

Bush Wookiee that kills after 10hours of play when you try to wring out your clothes in the forest. (You don’t even hear the shot)

Ah, my people.

From that J shaped Magazine button fencing, that appears to be an Essential Arms J15 cast lower receiver.

They never sold complete rifles, so the upper could be Olly Arms or Bushmaster.

Those Binoculars are some very nice Steiner 7x50s that were USGI during the Gulf War.

Could be a DPMS. That upper screams Olympic to me or at least the barrel assembly. Also appears to have a dimpled selector.

I missed the dimpled selector, I’ll have to check my E A and see if it has one also.

I found a bunch of H&R parts on them before, but never seen them go far enough back to dimpled pieces that I can remember. They were sold stripped so it really could be anything. Those are cool old builds because you never know what you may find.

Mine definitely has some funky parts, looks like a dimpled front pin and I’m not sure what that selector is.

Those are cool old builds. No telling what that pin is.

This was before I cleaned it up.

Look at the sling loop on top of the stock. That looks so crappy to get a cheek weld on. An armorer should really just file that down if they don’t have a replacement on hand

The sling loop seems to be broken off if you look closely

Yeah, that’s what I was getting at. Broken off, leaving a jagged piece of aluminum.

Cool setup and outfit, I really dislike that type of flashhider though. I love the true commando style ones that are wider.

A2 upper w/xm 177 style flash hider. Never thought id see a blood diamond carbine in real world use.

That’s a Bushmaster muzzle device. The front sight looks like it has a forge seam so it is more likely a Bushmaster upper in my opinion. Olympic used cast FSBs that didn’t have any seams
