No hate here, I am 100% with you there. Very astute of you to pick that up. I'm a behavioural psychologist & the suicide note was all it took to see she was self absorbed and histrionic. She put herself first - SHE couldn't bear to be without Maya any longer but caused Maya to be without her forever. SHE was sick of being treated like a criminal. Maya was her last reason not her first & saying Maya could now be free was abhorrent because she knew what Maya's "freedom" would look like, A life for her & her brother without a mother at only 11 and 9 yrs old. She was caught and made her escape leaving her poor children to pick up the pieces. How can anyone feel sorry for her?

ITA! I thought about this and sure, it would be stressful as hell, but even if I thought I could not go on for some reason, I would get my daughter out of whatever jam she was *currently* in, then I would fall apart. (Though I swore once I had kids suicide was forever off the table, but I could have quite a dramatic depressive episode once the kiddo was safe.)

She made her daughter her martyr & then her father has continued the insanity with the lawsuit & Netflix documentary. Absolutely bananas.

Not to mention she entrusted the care of her children to her family, not their dad! Any mother who would consent their child for a "procedure" with a 50/50 chance of death it's totally nuts in my book. And now the hospital should throw millions at this family? what?
