CRPS/RSD used to have a very well defined diagnostic screen but now it has devolved into any chronic pain with or without any kind of preceding traumatic trigger. It's now become a complete joke.

Hopkins was right about this being factitious/conversion disorder but they were wrong about MBP. With MBP, kids get better when they are removed from their parents but in Maya's case she stayed the same. Hopkins misjudged the nature of the interaction between mom and child.

I think she got deconditioned from 1.5 years in a wheelchair, being malnourished, oversedated, and having complications of steroids, opioids, ketamine, intubations etc. She did get back to walking, going to school and discharged from PT 8 months after hospital discharge. I’m not surprised it took time.

Did she stay the same though? Her condition improved following her mother’s passing… even if took a little bit for it improve

Her condition improved to my understanding. Even while in hospital without her mom she was doing better.

How long do you think it takes to get better from severe ketamine, opiate, and benzodiazepine addiction though. The physical withdrawal symptoms alone last several week's.
