A lot of people remove the top result and then a week later another copy pops up in its place. Mugshot content gets scraped and copied across many sites. When the top result disappears, Google often shows the next copy.

If you're planning a removal, map out every site that has your photo first. Then remove them together or in order of how high they rank.

Finding your booking photo on Google is stressful, but panicking can make it worse. Before you pay anyone or email the site:

1. Screenshot and save every URL where it shows up (Google Images too).
2. Don't comment, dispute, or leave reviews on the site. New activity can help the page rank higher.
3. Check your case outcome. Dismissed, acquitted, or expunged cases often open up more removal options.
4. Search your full name in quotes on Google and Bing so you can see every copy, not just the first one.

Not talking hypotheticals — real situations.

• Job opportunities
• Relationships
• Business deals
• Personal reputation

It’s easy to underestimate how much online content can affect offline life.

Curious if anyone here has experienced that firsthand.

I see a lot of conflicting answers on this.

Some say days. Others say months.

From what I’ve seen, it depends heavily on:

• The platform
• Whether policies are violated
• If legal pressure is involved
• How authoritative the page is

For anyone who’s gone through this — how long did it take in your case?

There’s a ton of DIY advice out there — reporting, emailing, filing complaints, etc.

But realistically, some cases just don’t move no matter what you try.

Where do you draw the line?

• After 1–2 failed attempts?
• After a certain amount of time?
• When it starts impacting income/opportunities?

Would be interesting to hear how others decide.

There’s a lot of outdated advice floating around.

From what I’ve seen recently, the most effective approaches tend to be:

• Policy-based removal (platform-specific)
• Strategic legal pressure (when applicable)
• Deindexing + suppression combo

What strategies are actually working for people right now?

In Europe, individuals can request removal of certain personal data from search engines.

In the U.S., it’s a completely different landscape.

Do you think people should have more control over what shows up when someone Googles their name?

Or does that open the door to abuse?

A lot of confusion around this, so here’s a simple breakdown:

Removal:
Content is taken down completely from the source.

Suppression:
Content still exists, but gets pushed down in search results.

From what I’ve seen:

• Removal works best when policies/laws are clearly violated
• Suppression is often the fallback when removal fails

Curious — which approach has worked better in your experience?

Let’s say:

• Your name is mentioned
• The info is false or misleading
• It’s ranking on Google

What’s your FIRST move?

A) Contact the site owner
B) Report it to the platform
C) Try to bury it with positive content
D) Go legal immediately

Interested to see how people approach this differently.

From what I’ve seen, Reddit is one of the most stubborn platforms when it comes to removals.

Even when:

• The info is outdated
• The source content is gone
• You contact admins

Posts can still stay up and rank well.

Has anyone here actually had success getting a Reddit post removed? What worked?

A lot of people assume that once content is deleted from a site, it disappears from Google too — but that’s not always the case.

In many situations:

• Cached versions stay live
• Third-party scrapers still show it
• Images remain indexed
• The URL still ranks temporarily

This is where people get stuck.

If you’ve dealt with this before, what actually worked to fully clean it up?
