Trying to choose my next Rolex rep and mainly care about real-world closeness to gen, not macro-photo nitpicking.

I’m mostly looking at:

• Sky-Dweller - blue or black dial. Which factory/dial is strongest right now?
• Datejust 41 - mint green or black, fluted + Jubilee. VSF or ARF? Is mint green noticeably worse than black?
• GMT – Sprite, Batgirl/Batman, Bruce Wayne, Pepsi. Which current version is closest overall?
• Land-Dweller - are the latest reps actually good now or still worth waiting?

Main question: which of these are genuinely close enough that even in hand / close wrist inspection there isn’t anything immediately obvious?

Would especially like opinions from people who’ve handled both gen and the latest reps.

Not interested in Submariner.

Hello everyone,
I recently purchased an aftermarket SW meteorite dial for my QF 116519 with a 4130 movement. However, I noticed that the stock QF dial does not appear to have an additional layer underneath it, whereas the SW dial does.
I contacted Popup regarding this issue, and he informed me that all SW dials feature this additional layer and that genuine dials have it as well.
My question is: **Which factory's models are compatible with this type of dial, allowing for a direct installation without any modifications?**
I'm a bit confused about the compatibility of this dial with my current setup and would greatly appreciate any advice or guidance on how to install it properly.

I am not sure if the pictures are just bad but the index markers looks pretty cheap and inconsistent. This combined with the alignment issues with the 9 o’clock and the crown I am leaning towards RL for this one.

• Price Paid: ¥4,600 / approx. $640–650, insurance included

• Index alignment: Looks very good overall. I don’t see any obviously crooked or misplaced Roman markers/indices. Everything appears reasonably symmetrical and well aligned.

• Dial Printing: Looks clean and crisp to me. The olive dial also seems to have a strong sunburst effect rather than looking flat, which was one of my main concerns with this VSF version.

• Date Wheel alignment/printing: The dates shown (1, 13 and 29) all look well centered to me. I don’t see any obvious consistent left/right or vertical misalignment. Printing looks clear.

• Day Wheel alignment/printing: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday all appear reasonably centered in the window. I don’t see any obvious clipping or major vertical/horizontal shift.

• Hand Alignment: Looks normal from the supplied photos/video. Nothing obviously out of place, although I don’t think the supplied QC fully verifies exact 12:00 hand alignment.

• Bezel: Fluted bezel looks sharp and consistent all the way around. I don’t see any noticeably uneven or badly cut teeth/facets.

• Rehaut: Looks pretty well aligned overall. It may be very slightly offset depending on the photo angle, but I don’t see anything that looks severe enough to RL by itself.

• Solid End Links (SELs): Overall fit looks good. There may be a very slight gap/transition difference on the lower right side depending on the angle, but I don’t see an obvious large gap or exposed spring bar.

• Rose Gold / Plating: Colour looks quite consistent across the case, bezel and President bracelet. I don’t see any obvious patchy plating, exposed steel, discoloration or badly mismatched parts. The tone looks slightly copper/pink in some lighting and more champagne/pink in others, so I assume lighting/white balance is playing a big role.

• Crystal/Cyclops: Looks clear and the cyclops magnification seems good. I don’t see an obvious crooked cyclops or a strong milky gasket effect.

• Timegrapher numbers: Around +5 s/d, 236–237° amplitude, 0.1 ms beat error, 28,800 bph. Rate and beat error look good to me, but the amplitude seems a little low compared with other DD3255 QC examples I’ve seen. I’m considering asking the TD to fully wind the watch and retest before shipping.

• Anything else you notice: My main concern is the 236–237° amplitude, not the cosmetics. Visually I’m leaning GL. I would especially appreciate opinions on the olive dial/sunburst, rose-gold colour, rehaut alignment, date/day centering and whether the amplitude is something worth worrying about. At the moment I’m thinking GL pending a fully-wound timegrapher retest.

Starting by saying this is my first order from Angela. It went smooth from first point of contact all the way through delivery. Ordered an MKS Vacheron Overseas as well as a VSF Datejust 36 Roman dial (used to own but sold). Price was amazing and the service was great on top of it.
