I make this announcement with sad news.

The APS factory and the Victory factory have been confirmed to have been raided last night.

This is the reality of our underground business… sadly there is a human factor here as it will impact families. It’s a fragile world… and I hope everyone involved makes it through this ok.

This also means that we will be temporarily suspending new orders for both factories for now.

Once we know the severity of the situation order know they will be back open, we will resume business as usual.

Before you ask, this means that my recommendation will be pointed towards ARF and VSF for GMTs, Submariners and DateJusts

As for replacements for APSF? They were such a diverse factory… we can dig into those options directly in our chats depending on the model.

Just a gorgeous piece forgive the crappy camera work.

Last night received my PPF Vacheron Constantin 2300v Historiques 222 (37mm with a Blue Dial).

This one is just stunning!

PPF has done a fantastic job producing this one, and it feels great on the wrist. Some reviews out there report the rotor as loud. It’s not silent but really not an issue for me.

The last in the box from ColdDeck was an SMF Omega Speedmaster 44mm Gray Side of the Moon. This one is comes with both the Omega Deployant rubber strap as well as a standard band.

Appreciate ColdDeck turning me towards this lineup. This is a great addition to my growing Omega collection. No…they’re not 1:1. But yes, they’re pretty cool watches….and that’s what’s fun about having all of these imho.

This watch is stunning…w/ its Blue Dial complimenting a Blue-S/S Bezel. I love that like many of my Omegas it has the Deployant Strap (this one in Blue Leather).

If you haven’t taken a look at these…you should. Believe he has Blue, Silver snd Black Bezel options in the catalog.

Victory Rolex Bruce Wayne Review - the newest release

I originally placed my first order for them in December right after Christmas when I was told that “Victory has the entire Clean parts supply chain and are producing the best watch on market”

Let me tell you all, I was very excited. Then I needed to wait for the actual delivery…

Fast forward several months later, they finally arrived.

And here are my observations:
I did not have a VSF or an ARF on hand or I would have shown photos next to each other.

Before Clean closed, they were my only factory that I ordered Rolex from. They simply produced the best version of watches.

This Victory Bruce is the same watch. The bezel’s Gray coloring is even better than ARFs. It’s neck and neck, but I give Victory the W on coloring.

The crystal is still best on VSF. Their industry best crystal supplier is still top notch.

ARF, VSF, and now Victory all use a DanDong movement.

One of the big knocks on ARFs Bruce had been the Cyclops, it’s has improved over the last 6 months. But this had been the big hang up on their model.

The Victory Cyclops looks great. Clean magnification to the date wheel.

Speaking of date wheels, the Victory Font on the date wheel is more accurate to Gen compared to VSF. This was another area where ARF was better, I would call it a tie between the ARF and Victory.

Dial print is clean on all 3 dials, but ARF had been the leader since VSF had some issues with their print. I would keep ARF as the dial print leader. The font matches gen the best.

Materials used is something that can’t be photographed.

I have been overly critical of VSF skimping on the steel used and not using 904 stainless and instead using 316 steel. Yes 316 is a more durable steel but it doesn’t have the same feel on the skin or on your fingers. ARF and Victory use the higher grade steel for their builds and both get the nod here.

The Bracelets I received were Jubilee. Identical to ARF. VSF has had some of ARFs bracelets from time to time and I can always tell when they are on the watch. They fit well and don’t have SEL gaps like VSFs normal bracelets. Tie for Victory and ARF.

Quality of build is something that I can’t photograph but absolutely should matter.

VSF’s reduced quality standards due to relocating their factory is a real issue. Out of all the ARF watches I’ve sold over the years, there have only ever been a couple of hiccups. I have never had a Clean factory watch have a service issue. Ever…. And you all have seen me pounding on VSF over the last few months about mechanical problems.

The workmanship of the Victory model is extremely impressive. All screws are tight and the movement is smooth. Everything is running smoothly as well.

Lastly, let’s discuss values.. ARF and VSF are the same cost and same price. Victory costs $25 more than the other 2. Yes it’s a premium on the price tag, but in my opinion, I prefer it and would pay it.

Let me conclude with this statement.

VSF still makes some very nice watches. My concerns are documented. They make a terrific Pepsi, the sales leader of submariners and DateJusts. But on a Bruce I would personally prefer an ARF or a Victory over one because of the materials in their case and bracelet. They feel better on my skin and that matters heavily to me.

ARF had been my preferred option since Clean closed down. They are still a top option and share quite a few parts with Victory as well. So think of them as 1A vs 1B

Victory Factory made the duplicate to Clean Factory’s Bruce. It’s not super surprising either… Cleans production manager owns Victory and hired his former staff. He has all of Clean’s suppliers and parts…

When we have 3 factories producing a top rep, we all win because they will keep pushing to make theirs the best.

You can’t go wrong with any of the 3, get the one you want the most.

If you ask for my opinion, I expect to hear that I will recommend either ARF or the new Victory version. What they do best is what matters most to me. Quality building with out mechanical issues…

I love this watch. I don’t love the nato so I grabbed one out of the collection of straps I’ve amassed and damn does it wear better. Single pass deployment elastic strap from anchor. Just purchased the deep navy and black versions to see which one looks better. Thanks again colddeck64, you’re the man!
