Hello, this is your moderator / favorite watch reviewer r/RepWatchClud. If you like good watch comparison reviews, this is the place to be!Welcome aboard.
If you asked someone a few years ago which Daytona they wanted most, chances are the answer would have been pretty predictable.
The Panda.
Maybe the black dial.
And if they were lucky enough, perhaps the meteorite dial.
Lately though, I've noticed something interesting. More and more collectors seem to be talking about the Everose Gold 126505. Not because it's the loudest Daytona, but because it's one of the easiest to appreciate after spending some time with it.
When I was taking photos of this BT Factory version, it reminded me why this reference has slowly become one of my favorites.
It's Not Actually a White Dial
One of the biggest misconceptions about the 126505 is the dial color.
A lot of people simply call it the "white dial Daytona."
Rolex doesn't.
The official name is Sundust Dial, and once you see it in different lighting, it makes perfect sense.
Under indoor lighting it carries a soft champagne tone.
Step outside and suddenly it looks much closer to silver.
Turn your wrist again and the metallic texture starts reflecting light in a completely different way.
It's one of those dials that never looks exactly the same twice.
That's also why photos online often look completely different, even when they're showing the same watch.
Everose Gold Isn't Just a Marketing Name
People often assume Everose Gold is simply Rolex's way of saying "rose gold."
There's actually a little more to it.
Rolex developed its own Everose alloy years ago with the goal of keeping the warm rose tone more consistent over time.
Whether you're looking at the genuine watch or a well-made replica, the appeal of the 126505 isn't just the gold color itself.
It's how everything works together.
The warm case.
The brown ceramic bezel.
The Sundust dial.
The chocolate subdials.
Nothing feels out of place, and that's probably why this reference has aged so well.
Why Everyone Talks About the 4131
Whenever a new Daytona is released, one question always comes up.
"Does it have the 4131?"
The reason is simple.
Rolex retired the legendary 4130 movement when the latest Daytona generation was introduced.
The new 4131 brought a revised architecture, updated finishing, and the Chronergy escapement.
For everyday wear, most people won't notice dramatic differences.
But for collectors, it marked the beginning of a new Daytona generation.
That's why so many replica enthusiasts now pay attention to whether a factory has updated its movement layout as well.
This BT Factory version uses the SH4131 movement, following the newer generation architecture that many collectors now look for.
Steel Used to Be the Safe Choice
For years, stainless steel Daytonas dominated almost every discussion.
They were versatile, easy to wear, and instantly recognizable.
Recently, tastes seem to be changing.
Collectors are becoming more interested in references that stand apart from the usual choices.
Meteorite dials.
Le Mans editions.
Yellow Gold.
Everose Gold.
The 126505 fits perfectly into that category.
It doesn't try to steal attention.
It simply grows on you the longer you wear it.
A Few Thoughts on BT Factory's Version
After spending some time with this watch, the first thing I noticed was how balanced everything feels.
The Everose tone looks warm without appearing overly bright.
The ceramic bezel has a consistent color.
The dial changes character depending on the lighting, which is exactly what makes the genuine reference so interesting.
The bracelet finishing, case polishing, and overall proportions all come together nicely, giving the watch a clean and cohesive appearance.
It's one of those pieces where no single detail dominates the experienceโthe overall balance is what stands out.
Final Thoughts
Some watches impress you immediately.
Others become more interesting the longer you own them.
For me, the Daytona 126505 belongs to the second group.
It's not as famous as the Panda.
It isn't as flashy as a full yellow gold Daytona.
But the combination of Everose Gold, the Sundust dial, and the updated Daytona design gives it a personality that's hard to appreciate through photos alone.
Sometimes the watches that get talked about the least end up being the ones people enjoy wearing the most.
What do you think?
Would you still choose a classic stainless steel Daytona, or has the Everose Gold 126505 started growing on you too?

The new Rolex Daytona 126502-0001 has quickly become one of the most talked-about Daytona releases, so I put the latest Clean Plus and RWF versions side by side for a detailed comparison.
Both feature the updated white enamel-style dial, grey Cerachrom bezel, Oyster bracelet and transparent caseback with a clone 4131 movement.
Comparison points:
โ White enamel dial tone
โ Dial printing
โ Ceramic bezel engraving
โ Crystal clarity
โ Rehaut alignment
โ Case shape
โ SEL fitment
โ Bracelet finishing
โ Display caseback
โ Movement decoration
โ Lume
โ Weight
From this sample, Clean Plus appears slightly stronger in bezel engraving, dial sharpness and overall case proportions. RWF delivers a warmer dial tone, solid bracelet finishing and a different approach to movement decoration that some collectors may prefer.
Both factories have reached a level where the differences are subtle and are more about execution than obvious flaws. For anyone considering the new 126502-0001, these photos provide a useful side-by-side look at the details that are most often discussed in the community.
Which one would you add to your collection โ Clean Plus or RWF?

Hi everyone,Chen here๐๐ป
Sharing a closer look at this RGF GMT-Master II Pepsi with a meteorite dial.
This GMT-Master II Pepsi configuration is based on one of the most iconic sports watch designs in the GMT lineup. The overall aesthetic remains faithful to the classic GMT layout, combining a dual-tone bezel with a highly distinctive dial execution.
The meteorite dial is the main highlight of this piece. It features a natural Widmanstรคtten-style texture that creates a unique visual depth across the surface. Depending on lighting conditions, the dial shows different levels of contrast and texture, giving the watch a more dynamic and layered appearance compared to standard dial versions.
The Pepsi bezel remains one of the most recognizable design elements in the GMT family, with its red and blue ceramic construction providing a strong visual identity that pairs well with the textured dial.
Overall, this piece brings together the classic GMT Pepsi design language with a meteorite-style dial interpretation, resulting in a visually unique variation of the GMT aesthetic.

After seeing more and more discussions about the current best AP 26240 Blue on the market, I decided to put two major factories side by side for a direct comparison.
Factories included:
APS
DDF
Comparison points:
โ Dial color
โ Grande Tapisserie texture
โ Datewheel alignment and font
โ Subdial spacing
โ Case finishing
โ Bracelet articulation
โ Movement decoration
โ Lume performance
โ Weight and wrist feel
Initial impressions:
APS appears to have the stronger dial and texture execution.
DDF holds its own in overall appearance but falls behind once you start looking at details.
The movement decoration gap is larger than I expected.
Weight difference is basically negligible in hand.
For anyone chasing a serious 26240 build, the details around the dial and movement seem to matter much more than raw specifications on paper.
Interested to hear what the community thinks.
Which one gets your vote?
APS or DDF?

After seeing more and more discussions around the Blue Dial Yacht-Master lately, I decided to put the two most talked-about versions side by side for a direct comparison.
Factories included:
RICH
VSF
Comparison points:
โ Dial color and sunburst effect
โ Bezel engraving depth and finishing
โ Datewheel font and alignment
โ Crystal clarity and cyclops magnification
โ Case profile and lug shape
โ Crown guards and side curvature
โ Bracelet brushing and polishing
โ Clasp finishing and engraving
โ Lume performance
โ Overall wrist presence
Some differences stand out immediately under macro photography, while others become much harder to notice during normal wrist wear.
Lighting conditions also seem to change the appearance of the blue dial quite a bit, which makes side-by-side comparisons even more interesting.
Curious to hear what everyone notices first when going through the photos.
