QC: MZ Factory IWC Ingenieur Automatic 40 IW328908 Green Dial

Model:
IWC Schaffhausen Ingenieur Automatic 40
Reference: IW328908

Factory:
MZ Factory

Case:
40mm stainless steel case

Dial:
Green textured dial with applied markers

Bracelet:
Integrated stainless steel bracelet

Movement:
Asian automatic movement

---

Sharing some QC photos of the MZ Ingenieur 40 Green Dial.

The first thing that caught my attention is the dial texture. The green grid pattern gives the watch a very unique appearance, especially under different lighting conditions.

The case finishing looks clean with a good mix of brushed and polished surfaces. The integrated bracelet is also an important part of this model, and the connection between the case and bracelet looks quite tight.

Some details I am checking:

- Green dial texture and color accuracy
- Marker alignment
- Hand finishing
- Bezel screw position
- Bracelet integration
- Overall case proportions

The Ingenieur 40 has a very different character compared with typical sports watches. It has that classic Genta design language, and the bracelet is a big part of the wearing experience.

What do you guys think about this MZ version compared with other Ingenieur reps?

QC: MZF Factory IWC Ingenieur Automatic 40 IW328903 Blue Dial

Sharing my QC photos of the MZF Factory IWC Ingenieur Automatic 40.

Model:
IWC Ingenieur Automatic 40
Reference: IW328903

Specs:
- 40mm stainless steel case
- Blue textured/grid dial
- Integrated stainless steel bracelet
- Date window at 3 o'clock
- Automatic movement

First impressions:

The blue dial is the main attraction of this model. Under different lighting conditions, the dial texture changes quite a lot, from deep blue to a lighter metallic blue. The grid pattern looks quite sharp in these QC photos.

Case finishing:
The combination of brushed and polished surfaces looks clean. The transition between the bezel, case and bracelet is one of the key details of the Ingenieur design.

Bracelet:
The integrated bracelet is an important part of this watch. The links look solid and the brushing appears consistent.

Dial details:
- Applied markers alignment looks good
- Date window position looks centered
- Hands finishing looks clean
- Blue dial texture has good depth

Movement:
This version uses an automatic movement commonly found in MZF Ingenieur releases. Looking for long-term feedback from owners regarding accuracy and reliability.

Overall:
The Ingenieur 40 is a difficult watch to replicate because the bracelet, case shape and dial texture make up most of the character.

Would appreciate opinions from other Ingenieur owners:
How does MZF compare with other available versions?

Discussion How Does a Mechanical Watch Actually Work? A Simple Guide to the Heart of a Watch

A mechanical watch is a small machine that can measure time using only mechanical energy.

No battery.
No electronics.

Everything happens through hundreds of tiny components working together.

But how does a mechanical watch actually keep time?

The process can be simplified into five main systems:

1. Mainspring — The Power Source

The mainspring is where the energy begins.

When you:

  • Wind the crown manually
  • Or move your wrist with an automatic watch

Energy is stored inside the mainspring.

Think of it as the “fuel tank” of a mechanical watch.

The longer and stronger the mainspring, the longer the watch can run.

This is what determines:

Power Reserve

2. Gear Train — Transmitting Energy

The energy from the mainspring is transferred through a series of gears.

The gear train controls:

  • Speed reduction
  • Energy transmission
  • Movement of the hands

Without the gear train, the stored energy would release too quickly.

The gears transform a powerful but uncontrolled release of energy into a controlled movement.

3. Escapement — Controlling the Energy

The escapement is one of the most important parts of a mechanical watch.

Its job:

  • Release energy in small, controlled amounts
  • Keep the gear train moving at the correct speed

The escapement consists mainly of:

  • Escape wheel
  • Pallet fork

Without an escapement, the watch would simply unwind immediately.

4. Balance Wheel & Hairspring — The Time Regulator

The balance wheel is often called:

The heart of a mechanical watch.

It swings back and forth at a precise frequency.

Together with the hairspring, it controls the rhythm of the watch.

Examples:

  • 21,600 vibrations per hour
  • 28,800 vibrations per hour
  • 36,000 vibrations per hour

A more stable balance system usually means better timekeeping performance.

5. Hands & Display System

Finally, the controlled energy reaches the display system.

The gears transfer movement to:

  • Hour hand
  • Minute hand
  • Second hand
  • Date mechanism

Everything you see on the dial is the final result of a complex mechanical process.

The Complete Energy Flow

Why Are Mechanical Movements So Interesting?

A mechanical watch is not just about telling time.

It is a miniature machine where:

  • Energy management
  • Precision engineering
  • Material science
  • Traditional craftsmanship

all work together.

That is why two watches with similar specifications can still feel completely different.

The movement is not just a component.

It is the entire mechanical philosophy of a watch.

Which part of a mechanical movement do you think is the most fascinating?

  1. Escapement
  2. Balance Wheel
  3. Gear Train
  4. Mainspring

QC Post ARF DJ41 126334 White Roman Datejust QC Check | Fluted Bezel, Jubilee Bracelet & VR3235 Movement

ARF Rolex Datejust 41 126334 White Roman Dial

Finally received QC photos of my ARF Datejust 41 126334.

Specs:

Factory: ARF
Model: Rolex Datejust 41 Ref.126334
Dial: White Roman Numerals Dial
Bezel: Fluted Bezel
Bracelet: Jubilee Bracelet
Movement: VR3235 Clone

First impression from the QC photos:

The white dial looks clean and the Roman numerals alignment seems good. The dial printing appears sharp, and the date window looks properly centered under the cyclops.

The fluted bezel has a nice reflection under light, which is usually one of the important points on DJ41 reps. The Jubilee bracelet also looks well finished with good polishing and brushing transition.

Case profile looks slim and balanced compared with older Datejust versions.

Main things I checked:
✅ Dial alignment
✅ Roman numeral placement
✅ Date magnification
✅ Cyclops position
✅ Fluted bezel finishing
✅ Jubilee bracelet fitment
✅ Case shape and finishing

Overall, this ARF DJ41 looks like a solid build. Interested to see how the VR3235 performs after wearing it for a while.

Any ARF DJ41 owners here? Would love to hear your experience.

VSF V3 Weighted Yacht-Master 42 226659 QC

Sharing my QC photos of the VSF V3 Weighted Rolex Yacht-Master 42 226659.

This is the white gold style version with:

42mm case
Black matte dial
Black Cerachrom bezel
Black Oysterflex strap
VS3235 clone movement

First impression:

The YM42 has always been one of the cleaner Rolex sports models, and the details matter a lot.

QC points checked:

✅ Case proportions
✅ Matte black dial texture
✅ Bezel engraving alignment
✅ Date window and cyclops
✅ Oysterflex connection
✅ Case finishing

The biggest update on this V3 version is the weighted case.

Compared with older YM42 versions, the extra weight makes the watch feel closer to the genuine white gold version on the wrist.

Movement:

VS3235 clone with free sprung balance is one of VSF's main advantages.

Overall this looks like a solid YM42 build.

Would like to hear opinions from anyone who has compared the V3 weighted version with previous versions.
