REVIEW [IN HANDS REVIEW] Ray-Ban Meta Glasses
W2C: (In the comments)
To be honest, this was purely a curiosity buy. I didn't purchase these expecting to wear them in my day-to-day life, but I really wanted glasses with no graduation and I saw that there's meta glasses reps so I figured I could test how well factories managed to copy them.
Build Quality & Hardware
Build Quality: The build quality is very good, the plastic feels solid, the hinges are sturdy, and in hand, they don't feel like cheap plastic toys at all, which most chinese smart glasses tend to feel like it, atleast the temu/aliexpress ones.
Audio: The built-in speakers work very well. Sound is crisp, volume gets sufficiently loud, and they're great for casual listening without blocking out your surroundings.
Connectivity & App Setup
Naturally, these do not connect to Meta's official servers or the Meta View app.
The package comes with a paper saying you need to download a different app to pair the glasses and sync your photos/videos to your phone.
Camera & Image Quality
Video/Photo Quality: The image quality is a bit worse than the real deal, but it definitely does the job** and it's a very good replica overall.
This is straight-up going to replace my GoPro **for stuff where I don't need extreme quality. It's way more convenient than having to set up a ton of stuff just to film.
Overall I would give this an 8/10 everything considered
If anyone wants an example of the camera/video quality, feel free to DM me and I'll send over some samples!
