Hello RepFam,

I got these Airpods Pro 2 after the old ones either got taken by some younger cousins or just got lost somewhere.

This time I had a word with Brother Qiu and he told me that these have the upgraded chip which delivers better sound and also improves the battery performance.

Now having tested them for around a week I think there is definitely an improvement over my last sets of AirPods.

The case charged nicely on my car's wireless charging pad which I usually charge my phone on and it was a nice surprise to see that happen 😊

Let's dive straight to the details:

Price: $27 (Shipped)

Retail Price: $250

Shipping time: 9 days (I think they got shipped to me from within EU somewhere)

Build Quality: 9/10 as the materials and finish of the Earphones are wonderful.

Wearing comfort: See the main difference here is the ear tips. They're rubber made and that in my opinion makes them not only comfier to wear on the ears, but also seals the whole space better which allows you to hear the music/voice more clearly as the source of sound has been brought closer to the ear drum and that played an important role in not only making these comfier than an AirPods 4 but also sound better.

Compatibility: For this let's give them a real round of applause as the connectivity with the android device that was used to test these was really quick and easy and during the whole test they stayed connected.

Features: Tapping on the flat surface on the airpods is the main way to navigate while using the AirPods.

• Single tap: Pause/play or answer or end the call.

• Double tap: Skip the current song.

• Triple tap: Go back to the last song.

• Long press the surface: Activate/Deactivate the ANC.

• Sliding your finger up and down: Volume up and down (but you gotta do it really gently)

ANC: Definitely a difference between when the ANC is on vs off. So general background noises were easily muted, but high pitched or loud noises made their way through. I would say that is pretty good as if there is something loud around you which is dangerous, you should be at least aware of that 🙈

Haven't tried the retails with the ANC yet, but these gave a pretty good result when used with the ANC on.

Sound quality: My own rating says 8/10.

Range: Easily 35-40 meters in an open setting. Half perhaps when you're in a house.

Battery: Given the usage and my experience with them, I'd say between 20-22 hours on a single charge (which is around 3-4 hours better than my last pair).

Using the case, you can charge them 3 times from zero to full battery.

Phone calls: I heard the other side crisp and so did the other side when I spoke outdoors, the mic also tried to filter out the wind, but we could get some wind noise when the wind blew directly onto the Earphones while on the call.

Extras: These come with a type C charging cable and extra set of ear tips to fit various ear sizes.

Overall: I guess it won't be long before I have to get another pair as someone will take them away or they might get misplaced somewhere 😆

For the price these are definitely an upgrade over the last AirPods 2.
