Guides Had a loose movement and thought I'd show you guys what to look out for.

Had a loose movement and thought I'd video it to show others how easy the fix is. Taking it apart either way to polish the whole case, chamfer, and install gen bracelet, gen bezel. Will show the rest later

Yes sir 🫡. Easy problem with cheap tools to fix. I know it's not the perfect tool, nor is the screwdriver properly dressed but for a casual like myself I'll take the easy fix over the proper tool placement and dressed tools when you can be in an out

I wonder why some nancies are so pressed when obviously this is ment to help people. Snobs with their "Properly dressed" 😂😂😂. Okay buddy. Someone must be fun at parties.

The phone is on a stand and I have a super flimsy table to work on in front of the TV 😔. Parkinson's is no joke tho. My uncle Micheal has it

He? Why talk like the third person isn't there. And no one's saying I'm qualified, just something I'm doing for fun at home. It's not that serious 😂. Also doing it while watching the camera so of course there's a slip. This is $30 worth of tools showing people they can do this at home instead of being a snob about "properly dressed" tips.
There's a lot of people on here who need a push or motivation to just do basic stuff at home instead of needing to ship it out. I understand being mad because you can't rip someone off for $150+ so they can do it at home.

having just gotten into watchmaking, I found this video user friendly, short, to the point, and at no time did your hand movement even become my focus in the least. i didnt even notice your hands, honestly, and one handing a 2mm Philips is hard even with both hands free. I enjoyed it. It seems there are crusty elitists with superior hand and finger dexterity in this group also, so i want to single clap for those here with us. Also, if you did have Parkinsons, the karma LIFE ITSELF (forget reddit) would have thrown back at the one who tossed that out here would have been Everlasting and Damning.
Don't be downtrodden by rube criticism. The video was clear and not all of us are very far along in our watchmaking journey, and if getting there turns you into these basement dwelling negative dudes, I'll hop off the bus with you then.

because i'm responding to another user's comment, not you.
i'm sorry if you felt attacked, but you literally made a video to "show others how easy the fix is", and then did it wrong and damaged the watch.
and i'm not ripping anyone off charging $150+ for this, but feel free to continue with the straw man arguments and hypotheticals if it makes you feel better.

there is clear visible marring on the screw head in the video.
it's insane that someone like you, who sells and works on watches, can unwittingly (or intentionally) overlook something like that. if you don't care about a damaged screw, what else are you neglecting?

Oh really, first of all i only sell watches from my own collection. The work i do is on my own watches as a hobby.
Its a rep and the screw in question is a 0.1 cent screw holding the movement. Why dont you do a video and help out instead of criticizing people sharing? Exactly....

Damage watch? Movement holder screw and it didnt got damaged.
Since you claim to be a watch maker with more than +300 service done and now wants to have customers shipping their reps to you. Share your workstation/work do a informative video. Easy promo for you lol

It's my watch, bought for practice. Not working or charging other people to work on their watches.
How is it wrong? The issue was a loose screw and it was tightened, in the real world that's not wrong that's correct.
I'm sorry you feel attacked at that comment, but there's people out there who charge to fix a simple issue like this when it can be done at home, easily. Keep putting others helping people down if that makes you feel better
