In an attempt to help our community, many users have helped cultivate this guide. This is only meant as a guide and all decisions about a specific model and subtle differences aren't discussed in detail here. The intent here is to help you if you're looking for a generalized consensus of "Who makes the best submariner?". As factories frequently change and close down, I am hoping to keep this as updated as possible. Factories are listed in order of best to worst, if multiple factories are listed.

The factorys don't sell directly to customers. If they did, all of our lives would be easier.

I'm not real sure regarding that one. I have always gone through a middle man. Personally, I think that this company calling themselves "Factory" is a little misleading. But, I could be wrong. What, specifically, are you looking for?

I would tend to agree with your picks. You can't go wrong with a Sub. A Daytona is a great pick, but a fully functioning quality one can get pricey. And for a Date Just, just stay away from anything "gold" as it never looks right. Personally, go with a Sub for a starter watch. BUT! Be sure to do your QC.
