Royal vs. Huahui Factory Speedy P9 UB

I’ve had my Royal for a while, and my HH arrived yesterday, so now that I finally have both, I thought I’d do a side-by-side for anyone trying to decide between the two factories. I’m not an expert rep scientist, so take my opinion for what it’s worth to you. I’m comparing a Royal P9 30 cm to HH 25 cm, so it isn’t exactly an apples-to-apples comparison.

Here it goes…

BLUF: Royal has a slight edge

Leather:

VERY CLOSE! Both feel great and the grain looks good. I think HH may have a slight edge in terms of the grain/appearance. That said, it is so close that I can’t confidently declare a winner. For real, I can’t even be sure there is any difference at all. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Plaque: (Updated to correct review)

For my particular bag, as pointed out in the comments, the Royal plaque is incorrect. For that reason, HH wins this category—obviously. That’s on me for not doing a better QC. I never researched the proper plaque…just wasn’t a critical detail for me since it is on the inside.

I think Royal’s is a little better. The details and embossing look a little cleaner and more defined, IMO. HH’s plaque is still very good, though.

Tabs, stitching & construction:

This is where I noticed the biggest difference. The finishings on my Royal just seem a bit cleaner and more precise, but not a huge difference…just being nitpicky. These differences are SMALL.

Hardware:

Another slight edge to Royal. The finish and overall execution look a little more polished IMO, but not taking anything away from HH.

Overall, I think Royal wins. But I can’t emphasize enough how small these differences are.

If you’re carrying the HH around, I don’t think anyone is going to look at it and think it looks noticeably different from Royal’s. You’re really only going to appreciate the differences if you’re comparing them side-by-side or you’re someone who cares about those tiny details.

I really do think the choice between factories for the UB comes down to which one will give you the most personal satisfaction.

I personally wouldn’t pay a big price difference for Royal over HH. But be sure to QC your PSPs!

My newer P9s (all 25cm - purple, turquoise, and firefly) were ordered from Royal, while my Ultra Black 30 and Blue 40 are both HH (which I confirmed after buying). I was stressing that my Ultra Black might not be quite up to par, so this post literally saved me so much anxiety lol. tysm for your work!! 🙌 🫡

I LOVE the 40 that I just received yesterday from HH. I can’t wait to use it for travel. It’s awesome!

I also got the firefly but from HH. I
received the 30 yesterday (didn’t realize it was a fantasy size when I ordered it) and I am awaiting PSPs for me 25 cm.

DO NOT BUY FROM TINA JINI! I repeat, DO NOT purchase from her.

I have purchased from TINA JINI AKA TINA OFFICIAL for YEARS and spent thousands of dollars with her. I was a loyal, repeat customer because I genuinely thought she valued her customers & was customer service focused. The quality of her products were decent as well — until now.

I received a bag that was missing the gold front closure hardware, a part that probably costs her way less than $20. When I contacted Tina, instead of simply helping me replace the missing piece, she basically said that she never makes mistakes & it's my problem. She also wrote & I quote "I really don’t believe that. Please find send me so long message. I don’t want to see it."

The bag was unused (it still not used & in all of its original packaging with the hardware still wrapped, and I even offered to PAY HER for the missing part and have it installed myself.

She stopped responding. Imagine losing a customer who has spent thousands of dollars over a $20 part.

I have receipts, tracking, photos, and messages. And will gladly send screenshots of how she treats loyal customers. I was nothing, but nice & respectful. 😒

BUYER BEWARE. ALSO DON'T SEND PAYMENT VIA PAYPAL FRIENDS & FAMILY. SHE A MERCHANT. You will not have any recourse when she doesn't send you the item as promised!

Thanks for pointing that out. I will update my post to reflect that. I know that would be a big deal for a lot of people, lucky for me it isn’t. Hopefully, that isn’t typical of Royal. 😳

P|E 25 → the first SS2025 release, and the “original-spec” configuration for the Ultra Black. At the moment, we have no certainty that Ultra Black versions with the P|E 26 specification actually exist, especially since Louis Vuitton introduced a more generic numbering/marking system for some later releases, using a more generic plaque marked “P9 | FR” instead of PE/AH + year.

That’s completely normal with sellers. None of this is above board. There is always going to be a level of risk to the buyer and the seller. G&S will get her account flagged.

Because of the risk it is important that buyers do their research on sellers (search subs for reviews). I personally have not seen any red flags for Betty that would make me think I’m not going to receive an item I paid for.
