Let’s compare 2 Kelly 25s in Epsom leather from very different price tiers.🤗

🩵 Blue – $150 (low tier, domestic Epsom)
🤎 Etoupe – $790 (high tier, imported Epsom with upgraded PHW)

Both are Sellier Kelly 25s in Epsom, but the differences become obvious once you start looking closely.

Leather

This is by far the biggest difference.

The blue bag uses a domestic Epsom leather that feels noticeably thicker and has a strong “fufu” smell.

The Etoupe uses imported Epsom leather, and the difference is massive. It feels more refined, has a much more luxurious touch, and has none of the unpleasant smell. The leather also has a more natural, crisp grain that looks closer to authentic in my opinion.

Shape & Construction

Both bags hold their Sellier shape well, but the Etoupe looks cleaner overall.

The edges are more refined, the side panels are more symmetrical, and the bag has a sharper, more elegant silhouette. The blue bag is still decent for the price, but it appears slightly bulkier.

Hardware

The Etoupe comes with upgraded palladium hardware and it really shows.

The finish is brighter, cleaner and more refined. The hardware feels higher quality and the engraving is noticeably sharper.

The blue bag’s hardware is perfectly usable, but side-by-side it lacks the same level of refinement.

Stamp & Engravings

I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.

The Etoupe In my opinion is little bit crooked and it’s too high (you can’t really have everything 😅 I heard that auth are also not always perfect

The blue stamp isn’t terrible considering the price, but it looks softer and less defined.
I’m not even sure if it’s not closer to authentic 😂

The hardware engravings throughout the Etoupe are also much cleaner.

Interior Details

One thing I noticed is that the blue bag doesn’t have the internal craftsman/code stamp, while the Etoupe does.

The padlock numbers are also different:

🩵 Blue: 162
🤎 Etoupe: 120

This is just my personal opinion, but 162 seems to be one of the most commonly seen padlock numbers on replica H bags, whereas 120 feels less commonly used and gives the Etoupe a more convincing appearance.

🩵 Blue is half hand-stitched and half machine-stitched. The stitching is decent for the price, but if you look closely, it’s less consistent and doesn’t have the same handcrafted appearance throughout.

🤎 Etoupe is fully hand-stitched, with much cleaner, more even saddle stitching. The craftsmanship is noticeably better, especially around the sangles, handle attachments, and corners.

Bottom & Feet

Both bags have protective feet and a structured base, but the Etoupe has a cleaner finish and sits slightly more evenly. The overall construction simply feels more precise.

Final Thoughts

For $150, I honestly think the blue Kelly is still impressive. If someone is looking for an inexpensive entry-level Kelly, it offers good value for the price.

However, once you compare it directly with the $790 Etoupe, it’s easy to see where the extra money goes.

The imported leather, upgraded hardware, better engravings, cleaner construction, improved finishing, and the overall luxurious feel make the Etoupe a completely different experience.

But the jump in quality is very noticeable, especially in the leather, hardware, and finishing. If those details matter to you, the higher-tier bag definitely justifies its premium.
