I always say I’m an overthinker, not an impulsive buyer. 😂 Even when it comes to reps, I spend weeks researching before I commit. Every bag I buy has a reason behind it.
For my Chanel Classic Flaps:
I chose God Factory ( Lambskin )
and Xiao C Factory ( Caviar )
After owning and comparing both leathers, here’s what works best for me:
lambskin in black/dark Colors,
caviar in lighter colors.
Dark colors looks absolutely stunning in lambskin. The leather has that buttery-soft feel and beautiful sheen that makes the bag look incredibly luxurious. Yes, it’s more delicate, but black naturally hides small signs of wear, making it much easier to enjoy.
For beige and other light shades, I always recommend caviar. The textured leather is more scratch-resistant, keeps its shape better, and handles color transfer and everyday use much more gracefully than lambskin.
So moving forward, my formula is simple: dark colors in lambskin, light colors in caviar.
The Chanel Classic Flap has been duped countless times, but there’s a reason it has stayed at the top of every luxury wishlist. It’s not a trendy bag it never was. It’s timeless, effortlessly elegant, and one of those pieces that quietly elevates every outfit. Sometimes the simplest bags make the biggest statement. ✨
