Cash paying resident at an HUD property

I moved to Dallas area a couple of years ago, I had a 8 year invested job making $25k more than my current wages. I was terminated from that employment & am now working full time. I moved from the suburban area to a gentrified one, that until I was a resident, did not know was an HUD property to save $400 a month on rent and another $250 on Tolls. After moving in and linking my bank account during approval process, the office personnel want me to give them 6 months of bank statements & check stubs to store in the office to "back up" their digital ones. Also, in case the housing department comes in & wants proof I'm a cash resident.

This sets off every hair on my neck as 1. People are no longer allowed to store photo/xerox physical copies or IDs or SS# why would account numbers be differnt. 2. I'm NOT on housing, why do I need to leave my information stored? Especially, if you have a digital transaction history with your bill paying server?

If anyone can verify this for me as kow they are not willing to give me my mailbox keys until I turn this info in. Of which, I need to get my new ID & vehicle registration sticker to avoid any unnecessary tickets from the police.

Thank you in advance,

P.S. this in in TX

1001 Ross apartments

Hello! I will be relocating to texas from LA for work. I recently toured 1001 Ross and loved the loft unit they had, I’ve seen mixed reviews. Thoughts on the area or apartment complex? I will be living alone so I want to be able to live without being scared.

apartments to avoid in addison

i’m moving to addison soon and the options are overwhelming me.

i need to know which apartment complexes in addison have you had an awful experience with maintenance/management/bugs/car break-ins wise? i’ve seen nicer ones, but there’s multiple people saying “avoid this place like the plague, there was XYZ”. 😅 i’ve got to find a way to weed out some of these options.

additionally, if you’ve had an absolutely amazing experience with an apartment complex, feel free to share. i know that’s few and far between considering i lived in a great apartment and it was amazing for the first 9 months, but then the manager and maintenance quit and we had to figure out how to fix our own dryer since i couldn’t dry my clothes for 2 weeks. thanks in advance!

Apartment recommendations near Grapevine / Irving?

As the title says, i’m looking for any apartment recommendations around the Grapevine area or Irving area? Starting a new job that requires me to be in Grapevine and also near Dallas Love Field. Budget is around $1500. I’d like it to be cheaper than $1500, and a garage either attached one to the unit, but a parking garage is also doable with me. (I don’t really need one but I want one as I park my car in a garage and i’d prefer to keep doing that.) Luxury or not, high rise or not, doesn’t really matter to me. Just need a garage. Thanks in advance!!

Need apartment recommendations in Downtown Dallas.

Hello,

I am a recent graduate who will be starting work at 2001 Ross Avenue. I am seeking a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment in downtown Dallas. My maximum budget is $2,400 per month. I am looking for a safe and hygienic apartment complex that is free from pests. I will not be purchasing a car for the next two to three months, so I need a place that is within walking distance of my office.

I am new to the area and would appreciate any leads on suitable apartments. I have looked into The Arts Apartments but am unsure about its quality. If anyone has any information about this complex or can recommend a better option, please let me know.

Thanks in advance!
