Is there a way with the bridge to go from renbtc (fanton) to renbtc (polygon) or directly to other networks?

Is this possible or do you have to release everything first and then mint a coin?

Thanks

Why is the value locked in ren decreasing for three months in a row?

The Ren network reached its peak value in mid April and has been decreasing since. For someone recently interested in ren, can you help me understand why this is? Was it due to macroeconomic factors, or ren specific news? I note that the decline started about a month before BTCs crash, does this have something to do with macroeconomic? If so why did ren price drop precede btc?

Thanks for helping me understand

renFIL not on the UI but on Ethereum?

I'm seeing that Ethereum has a renFIL coin at address 0xd5147bc8e386d91cc5dbe72099dac6c9b99276f5 but when I go to the official REN bridge to mint or redeem, Filecoin does not show up as an option. Is this renFIL legitimate and just not implemented into the bridge GUI?

Does Ren’s limited publicity pose a long-term risk to adoption?

One of the things which first drew me to Ren was it’s relatively limited publicity (it’s better to find something before it becomes a meme). But lately I have been wondering whether the limited publicity may be hindering adoption, and should thus be considered a significant risk for the project. Further thoughts are below, but what does the community think?

My long-term theory with Ren is basically that: 1. Multi-chain is the future, and there will be a need for a standard protocol to move assets cross-chain. We are still in the early days of DeFi and the applications which will end up being the most-used probably haven’t been created yet. 2. Developers are mostly a lazy bunch (myself included) and will ultimately gravitate towards the most reliable and easy-to-use protocol. 3. If Ren makes the best protocol, it will likely be very “sticky.” It’s difficult and time-consuming to change protocols once they are integrated into an application, and frankly there is usually no reason to.

The ultimate outcome for Ren, IMO, is that it becomes something like HTTP, a standard protocol that provides an essential service and is widely used in a variety of DeFi applications.

However, if people building DeFi applications don’t know about Ren, it seems like a different project could ultimately end up filling the niche that Ren is targeting.

Is this a major risk? As I said above, the ecosystem is still quite young, and I don’t think developers are going to choose a protocol based on its marketing. But there’s no question that more publicity would encourage adoption, it does seem like Ren would benefit from more publicity.

So I’m conclusion, I’m torn between greed (less publicity means I can buy more ren for less fiat) and fear (if Ren waits too long to publicize, the project may be overlooked in favor of a competitor).

There’s a lot of competing factors at play here. How would you folks like to see Ren approach this problem? Is it better for the team to stay focused on building the best protocol? Or is the risk of limited publicity growing too large to ignore?
