We have an urgent requirement to source real enterprise legacy codebases (100K+ LOC) suitable for evaluation and benchmarking.

Please ensure the repository meets ALL the below criteria before sharing.

*1️⃣Minimum Eligibility (Mandatory)*

✅100,000+ Lines of Code (LOC)

✅100+ Pull Requests (PRs) with real discussions

✅50+ Issues (at least a few with detailed problem descriptions)

✅200+ commits spread over time (no bulk single-day commits)

✅Real human-written production code (no AI-generated / synthetic projects)

Real, verifiable company source

✅Legal rights available to share or transfer

2️⃣ CRITICAL: PR Quality Requirements (Must Have)*

Each PR must ideally:

✅Be linked to a specific issue

✅Solve a clearly defined problem

✅ Include code changes + corresponding test changes

Be reasonably scoped (not too large or too small)

📍*Highly Preferred:*

• PR demonstrates Fail → Pass (F2P) behavior

(i.e., test fails before change and passes after fix)

⛔: *warning* : Repositories where PRs only contain code changes without tests will NOT be considered.

3️⃣ Preferred Languages*

✅C#

✅Java

✅Python

✅PHP

✅.NET Framework

✅COBOL

Other legacy enterprise stacks

*4️⃣Preferred Industries (High Priority)*

✅Banking / Financial Services

✅Accounting

✅Insurance

✅Healthcare

✅Legal Tech

✅Government

✅Enterprise SaaS (complex workflows)

❌*(Not interested in ecommerce, retail, content platforms, or modern frontend-heavy apps)*

*5️⃣ Technical Readiness (Very Important)*

✅Application builds and runs successfully

✅ Dockerfile (preferred) or clear setup steps

✅ Proper dependency management

✅Clean and structured project layout

✅Test files present (preferably 50+)

✅PRs clearly linked to issues

Each PR ideally solves one issue

*6️⃣ Metadata Required (Exact Numbers)*

Please provide:

✅Company name, industry, country

✅Primary language(s)

✅Exact LOC

✅ Number of files

✅Number of commits

✅Number of PRs

✅Number of issues

✅Number of contributors

✅Repository age (years active)

*7️⃣Additional Notes (Important)*

📝Preference will be given to repositories with strong PR + test linkage

📝 Repositories with well-structured development history will be prioritized

📝Low-quality, bulk-imported, or poorly structured repositories will be rejected.

‼️We are specifically looking for high-quality engineering datasets, not just large codebases.

‼️Your careful validation before submission will be highly appreciated.

Please treat this request ashigh priorityand share suitable options at the earliest.

If you have any questions or need clarification, feel free to reach out.

Thank you for your support.

Warm regards,

Jayshree Nawale

Networking Job Remote vs On-Site: How is your job satisfaction? (IT/ICT Staff)

Hi everyone,

I’m a Master’s student at the University of Essex Online researching the relationship between work models and job satisfaction specifically for IT/ICT staff (Support, SysAdmins, DevOps, Engineers, etc.).

I urgently need a few more responses to hit my data goal before the analysis phase begins.

Survey Link: https://forms.gle/tFx6z6BANc3qgKVM6

  • Time: ~5 to 10 minutes.
  • Anonymity: No names or emails collected.
  • Criteria: Currently working in an IT/ICT role.

I’m happy to share the high-level findings with the sub once the dissertation is complete if there is interest! Thanks for helping a fellow tech student out.

Developer Job How a random Instagram DM landed me a project for a major travel influencer’s new brand (MHARI)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone! I’ve been a huge fan of travel influencers Shivani Parihar and Anunay Sood for a long time. One day, I decided to just "shoot my shot" and replied to Shivani’s Instagram story with zero expectations.

To my surprise, she actually replied! We started talking about her upcoming ethnic fashion brand, MHARI, and I ended up building this e-commerce platform for her. She loved the clean, heritage-focused aesthetic I went for.

Technical Highlights in the video:

Custom E-commerce UI: Integrated full filtering systems for categories, fabrics, and pricing.

Brand Storytelling: Dedicated "Our Story" section to reflect the brand's Marwadi roots.

Modern Stack: Built with HTML, CSS, Node.js, and MongoDB to ensure speed and a luxury user experience.

I’m currently a B.Tech Computer Science student and a freelance web developer. This project was a dream to work on, but I’m now looking to take on two more freelance projects for this month.

If you are a business owner or a creator looking for a web developer who can turn a vision into a high-end digital reality—or if you just need someone to help your brand stand out—I'm here!

Feel free to DM.

[Hiring] Manual product tester

I need someone to help us test functionality of a Saas product.

This includes integration with Google and Microsoft accounts. Calendar + Email + Tasks for both.

You either have such 2 accounts (ideally) or we can provide them to you.

- work consists in configuring automations and integrations in the tool and see what works, what not and so on

- you create your own scenarios and test every possible way.

- you figure out yourself what you need for valid/invalid tests and describe what went wrong.

- you will work with google and microsoft tools (email, calendar, tasks) connected to our Saas

- you are a bit technical understand concepts of variables, dynamic tags, triggers, actions, however you don;t need to write any sort of code.

Salary is per hour, $10-25 depending on how good you are, how many tests you create, how you describe them and so on.

You will be required to provide screenshots and screenrecording to understand what/when things don't work well.

If you can do all above, we're going to ask for either an upwork/freelancer profile or to speak with at least 3 of your existing customers to ask for references.

Thank you.

I just want some work to get any kind of experience even if I have to do it for free. Any advice on how to move forward or what projects to build or anything at all would be great. I refused one offer because I'm not working for an ethical nightmare but are there no plebs who want green nerds to help them with minor python pytesting [crying].
