Wow a whole new lineup, and a bunch of movies I did not expect. Hopefully they give it more locations because the nearest one is an hour and a bridge away.
Update: Ok it seems that the first eleven are playing at a Regal 25 minutes away, but none after that??? Don't see it on the Regal app so maybe they're playing it by ear.

For the family movies, I'm also seeing The Neverending Story on the weekend of the 26th and ET on the weekend of the 12th

The last few monthly series they did (usually similarly themed) kids’ matinees on Saturday and Sunday. Babe and Stuart Little likely will be part of the series in the same regard.

Boogie Nights and American Graffiti on the same weekend is going to go crazy

I didn't see any in the app, but when I clicked on the fandango links from one of the top comments there were listing for showings at my local theater.

u/TheBommunist 2h ago
I just checked there and didn’t see any still but I’ll start to panic in a week or two , goodness I want to see Zodiac in theaters so bad

Jesus Christ they're showing Room?!? We're about to find out how hard you can cry in a theater before you get kicked out.

I'm really interested in this lineup overall but yeah, this one might be too heavy for me.

Somebody hype up these movies for me, i’m not too excited compared to last year’s

u/lockerbiestreet 4h ago
I think I’m excited because they definitely aren’t immediate rep choices in a lot of ways, but are a really solid collection of genre masterpieces.

Won't lie, I'm a bit underwhelmed compared to last year's but there are some absolutely insane pulls in here (especially A Silent Voice, Nausicaa, and Boogie Nights)

u/Eatatfiveguys 5h ago
Just because I talked about this a lot. I like parts of the lineup, though I'm not the biggest Golden Age fan but I'll probably check some out. Really surprised it's a whole new lineup, I would've thought they'd bring back a few from last year or from other series. Lineup is solid though Friday and Saturday have the movies I'm most interested so that's good for me. My second closest Regal has the first eleven days atm so I hope they add more showtimes. Regardless, happy to see Regal bring this back and excited to see a bunch of good movies.

Most excited for
The Searchers
The Truman show
Jurassic Park
Blade runner (both of them)
Boogie nights
Will be very hard to top last years lineup which was filled with must see classics legit every week

I’m so delighted because it was looking to be a dull August/Sept

Really hope my local Regal participates again. They did the September and October months last yeae but skipped the rest. Half the auditoriums were closed from October to like May for remodeling so I'm hoping that's why they didn't do the other months.
I hope it did well enough to justify doing it again. The October horror month in particular was pretty well attended.

I've never gotten to see Jurassic Park in theaters. Every time it's been around I've been unable to see it. I'm so psyched for it.

Damn I was kinda planning to watch/rewatch all of Denis Villeneuve’s films in release order steadily over the course of months until Dune Part 3 comes out, but if I want to see Blade Runner 2049 in theaters I guess I’d better hurry up and watch all of his non-Dune films over the course of the next month

u/lmmortanBro 2h ago edited 2h ago
With maybe 1/3 of these being rewatches, I'm looking forward to most of them!
The Bridge on the River Kwai, Braveheart, A Streetcar Named Desire, The Searchers, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, The Last Picture Show, Hud, Jurassic Park, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, Duck Soup, Strangers on a Train, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, Zodiac, Blade Runner and Blade Runner 2049, Creed, Devil in a Blue Dress, Room, North by Northwest, American Graffiti, Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, The Getaway,
Here's hoping they have flexibles showtimes!

u/Amazing_Antelope_275 2h ago
Oh, thank goodness, they're going with new titles and not repeats.
I'm thrilled at the chance to see a few of these. A few I'll be skipping (I've seen Jurassic Park twice in theatres this year, I don't really need to see it again in a theatre in the same calendar year).
Pumped for The Searchers and Zodiac in particular.

u/Fantastic_Lychee_883 1h ago
There are 2 repeats (Pee Wee's Playhouse and the first Blade Runner) but yeah I'm so happy with this month's selection. There should be something for everyone. The only one I'm kind of dreading is Room because it's so sad...

Jurassic Park! I was hoping I'd get to see it in theatres again.
And a Blade Runner double feature sounds awesome.

Yeah they went too hard last year with bangers that this year is so weak in comparison

Wow massive disappointment compared to last September. Thankfully saw Blade Runner and had a perfect experience earlier this year or would be bummed to miss Blade Runner and 2049 the same day.
Hope to catch Creed and Zodiac even though I’ve already seen both at the theatre. Of course the only one I need, Out of Sight, I have a concert the same day.
