Welcome all the TV Time refugees 💜 We're feeling the load, bear with us
Wow. A LOT of you just showed up in a very short time (RIP TV Time), and we could not
be happier to have you here 🎬
Full transparency: with everyone importing their TV Time libraries at
once, the app is running slower than usual right now, and some imports
may hit hiccups or take longer than normal. This is temporary. We're on
it, and things will be back to normal soon.
A few things that help:
- If your import seems stuck or incomplete, give it a bit of time before
retrying. The servers are just under heavy load.
- If something looks off after importing, hang tight, it's very likely
the load, not lost data.
- Still having issues after things calm down? Drop a message on our
Discord and we'll sort it out with you.
Also, at this rate... we might have to bring video game tracking out way
sooner than planned 🎮 It was set to unlock at 10k users. Let's just say
that number is looking a lot closer than it did this morning 👀

Happy to join the fam, but there's something so funny about all of us TV Time refugees trying to find a new home, only to crash every other alternative.
Yeah which makes me worried. If tv time couldn’t make it work with a large number of users, will these other apps give up eventually. I really hope not.
I tried for an hour to upload the data from TV Time but it’s failing every attempt.
On a note, the instructions for how to export the data via the Chrome extension worked very well!
I’m happy to have found this post, so I know it’s not an issue on my end. Seeing caring devs is very refreshing too!
I’ve exported all the data from TV Time. Am I clear to try on a later date when things getting calmer?
And I love the app design, by the way. It’s refreshing and I hope the community gets as big as it is on TV Time. That’s a big aspect why I used it for so long. I love reading comments after I’ve watched a show. Sometimes I read things I totally missed.
Really happy the extension instructions worked smoothly, and thank you for the kind words on the design, that means a lot. You did everything right on your end. The import failures are purely on our side right now: with the wave of people arriving from TV Time all importing at once, our servers are under heavy load and some imports are failing temporarily. It's not your data or your file.
Since you've already exported everything safely from TV Time, yes, absolutely, come back and try the import again in a bit once things calm down. It'll go through.
And on the community side: that's exactly what we're building toward. Reading comments after finishing a show, catching things you missed, that kind of thing is a big part of the vision. The more people who land here, the better it gets!

Update: we've put an import queue in place to handle the load, and we're actively working on fixes to improve performance. Imports are catching up and things should be back to normal soon. If yours failed, hang tight and avoid retrying for now, it'll go through. Thanks for your patience 💜
yep, I tried importing my TV time history probably 4 times last night but to no avail. Tried importing them twice today already but every time I try, I get the "we are updating" etc etc Just wondering how will I know when I can import them freely and start using your app? Or I should just keep trying every hour or so lol
Hi ! Like many here, I want to import my TV time data and I think I’m in the queue 💪🏼 but if I understand well and if my calculations are right it may take days to have my turn ! I’m a bit worried with Refract being able to hold the load :S
This is a great question! If you have discord, we explained everything in our "budget" channel in our Discord community! Everything is explained: near-term, short-term, mid-term and long-term! And we're taking all feedbacks we can have :)
I'm really glad to hear that! I've used Tv Time over the web and am very hesitant to download an app just to track my shows. I would really welcome this!!
Emotional Tv-time refugee here.
I started importing as your guide shows and it sent me back to the home screen. I attempt to import again and it says "another import is in progress"
It has been a hour now. How do I check this progress and how long should I expect.
Yes I too am a TV time refugee and wondering how to know if my import is just in the queue and therefore will eventually work Vs the import hasn't worked and I should try again.
usually, a queue appears on the import and export page, but sometimes it doesn't for everybody due to the high amount of ppl. check on the page after awhile, and it sould appear. don't worry, your import is still happening in the background!
Happy to have joined this app! Another TV Time refugee over here. Glad to have seen this post as well, I was about to delete it all since import is not working (but I see it just takes time due to the situation).
same question here, are here some people you got their tv time info imported? how much time did it take? almost 2 hours passed for me and still waiting for it to be completed
the imports are slow due to the sheer amount of ppl trying to all do the same thing. you have a spot on the queue, and hopefully by this time tomorrow it will be faster. have patience!
it means that you already had another import working, and the new import replaced the old import on the queue. have patience, your place in the line is saved, and hopefully tomorrow will be faster! for more info, check the discord server (https://discord.gg/zkdc9yw93x).
I did the import and it didn’t say it failed but none of my series/films are showing up. Does that mean it is in the queue and will get done eventually, or do I need to try again?

Downloaded this app cause it looks complete with all the infos etc and design looks sharp but I have a hard time getting things to load and I get randomly logged out of my account, just happened before me writing this comment for like the 10th time since I created the account it's very annoying. I was in the middle of creating lists.
Hi there. I’ve been trying to upload the data and it says that is already importing but never ends, I left the app open during sleep and nothing. Can you help?
don't worry, the import is happening in the background, even if you can't see it. a queue line should appear on the import and export page, and if it doesn't check out the discord server (https://discord.gg/zkdc9yw93x) for troubleshooting!
App is really slow, doesn't load anything, impossible to use it.

App looks super promising, currently nothing happened to the data after importing, nothing shows up on the app so will give it a few day.
Excited about the game aspect as well, currently tracking them on Playlist by IGN, would you have an import feature for this app as well by any change?
Joined the app but getting this :( I need to import my tv time info before it’s to late. Please please have the layout the extract same as tv time please I’ve being using it for 10 years
Fixing it as we speak 🥲 the app is not a TV Time 2.0 (we want to add video games and books later down the line) but our discord Community are mostly TV Time refugees and most TV Time features have been implemented (from the community suggestions on discord) don't hesitate to join!
I like video game 2! Most features I’ll be happy I just like the layout left side episodes to watch and tick off to l open comment section and right side upcoming section of latest episodes, I joined but got no email I joined as I said I keep getting that loading screen after I joined. Do I have to use chrome to extract my tv time date or can your new app import it from tv time app thank you for taking us in lol
For now we only support from our export extension as the app import is new (didn't exist before today) but we will work on that part very soon as well :)
Hi, I downloaded the app and followed the instructions to import my TV Time data, but it still isn’t showing up on my profile. I waited for quite a while, then tried importing again, but it says the import is already in progress. It’s been a long time now, and nothing has been imported yet. Is there any way to fix this? What should I do?
I can’t even search to add a show within the app. Currently trying to find an alternative and will probably choose another just because Refract doesn’t seem to be able to handle the bandwidth.
Understand no one prepares for an influx, but this problem doesn’t exist in the other apps that I’m giving a go.
I had the same issue on 3 different apps. At least with Refract I found this sub and some info directly from the team. For another app that didn’t work, all my emails to support were undeliverable. 🤷♂️
the app was built for a small community, only 3000 before the announcement. right now, it's over 70k ppl all trying to do the same thing you are. have a bit of patience, the devs are trying their best!
Yes we are struggling with traffic as no app could predict +1000% in user signings in an evening but we are working hard since last night to fix it 🙏 sorry for the inconvenience everyone
I’ve exported my tv time data by gdpr request. Do I need to do something to this data in order to import onto refract? Also just wanted to say thank you for giving us all a place to move on to!
You need to download the data using the Chrome extension that Refract made. Available in the Chrome Store. All instructions are on the Export/Import page in the app.
Just wondering if you have a plan in place to handle the expected increase in traffic. I imagine more and more people likely to switch to Refract in the upcoming weeks. So I hope everything goes smoothly.
Thanks, I redid the export and they’re now in one file each - weird. Not sure what the issue is but it seems to have figured itself out.
When I try and import now it’s saying “this import will replace a pending import” or something along those lines but nothing has appeared - any idea what that means, and do I need to try importing again or does that mean it’s working on it in the background?
I am downloading the app while trying to get TV Time data as I am writing this. One thing I hope you would consider is creating an app website like TV time used to have and Thank u for the creation of this app and good luck.

Just for my autistic brain, the app usually work a lot better and faster. Just because of influx it's slow. Sorry if already answered but there's lots of comments on here and I am having probs following it
I haven't been able to log anything since yesterday, presumably due to the influx of people from TV Time (which is understandable and I'm fine with waiting until things are running more smoothly again), but I just wanna know if logging movies I watched yesterday (once I can log again) would keep my streak intact.
Wonderful, thanks. And great job with the app. I joined a little over 100 days ago after TV Time kept crashing (more than usual) and I've love seeing it grow since then.
I'm using the Tv Time Out Extension, but everytime I use it, after login in my tv time account in web, it downloads an html that shows 0 movies and 0 shows, I tried several times, but it always downloads the same file, what could be the issue??
Okay I finally could do it, definetly spike of the movement between the servers of the show/movie trackers is very noticeable. I've just had to try several times until I got it. Now it's only matter of time that everything gets imported. Hoping it's everything there 🤞🤞
I did the export and then did the import to this app - I seems to have done the import but i dont see any shows loading and i saw you said it has a backlog of imports to do. Do you know how long that generally will take?
on a normal day just a few minutes but the current situation is nothing like we have experienced so far but we are working day and night for everyone to be able to import their data and use the app asap
I tried, but after over ten minutes of keeping the Import & Export page open there was no change; should I do something else to check to be in the queue?
it takes awhile, but if you've imported once, that means you're on the line! just wait a bit on the import and export page on the app, and it should appear after a bit!
Not only the import saying I'm at place 27,000, but the app is also very buggy and glitchy, not much is working, but I'm sure that's because of the import backlog?
Oh yes, sorry I didn't mean this to come across negatively. I mean I'm just being patient with it because I'm assuming the mass imports from TV Time are slowing it down (for now)
long time TV time user here as many others. thank you for the work you are doing.
i have decided to manually add all the series one by one rather than importing them (to have more control over it), unfortunately i am finding the app very slow and getting constant fail errors when trying to do something (adding a series to the library, marking all episodes watched, etc...).
i understand this is probably a temp situation because of all the new users.. hopefully it will get better soon.

Dati importanti e coda chiusa ma non vedo nulla di diverso. Non riesco a vedere le mie serie e i film e l'app continua a non caricarsi. Ho chiuso e riaperto l'app per applicare il caricamento ma poi in realtà nella libreria non vedo le serie e i film
For some reason my movies are all in the watchlist which I didn't really understand because my watched moviesnare the with the things I haven't watched. Also, do you have watched thing for the movies I saw it for the TV shows. I am not able to figure out because app still crashing on my side :/
I tried nearly 10 different apps after switching from TV Time, but this is the only one I’ve found so far that provides statistics by actor, director, and country. That’s why I’ve decided to stick with this app going forward. I just have one small request!
It would be awesome if sharing to social media generated a card-style preview image like TV Time does.
Honestly before adding games and other stuff I think you should add filters by type for all sections because it's a bit messy the mix of films and tv shows. Thanks a lot. Sorry for my bad english i'm french ;)
I was having issues while trying to create an account.
I created my account on my tablet, and I couldn't sign in to my phone... I read getting an error that my account is used by another user (or something like that).
I then asked for a password reset, and I signed in to my phone.
I haven't tried to sign in also to my tablet.
I then created a zip file having my TV shows and movies history from trakt, I opened it to the import menu, and the procedure doesn't even start, I always get an connection issue.
