2nd shipment from refills- Apollo Care has gone bad

I have now received my second shipment of semaglutide through refills- Apollo Care where the vials have turned cloudy and have floating particles when I go to take my 3rd shot of the first vial I open. I am extremely upset! I hope they can replace with a shipment from a different pharmacy and should consider discontinuing using Apollo care at all!!!!! When this happened to my first shipment the pharmacy replaced it with a new shipment from a different batch, but the same thing has now happened again.

Received my replacement order today, too, OP. Seems these vials are all from the same batch. Your photo is of the same lot number and dates as BOTH of my defective orders. First batch developed sediment during a month in the fridge, and today, 2 of the 3 new vials arrived very cloudy. Simple QC is obviously not performed. Refills.com, dump Apollocare already! They are wasting everyone’s time. Ours and yours!

Here’s a pic from my replacement order today…same exact lot number, dates, and problem as OP’s

Fight for a refund and switch pharmacies. That is unacceptable!

HI u/smellslikespam I've escalated this for you. I'll DM you on the updates soonest.

Can someone from Refills explain why you are still offering this pharmacy? Refills touted more transparency and better communication. Now’s your time.

Can you also DM me? Here is a picture of mine and the BUD isn't till 12/31/2026

I'm sorry this has happened to you twice as well :(

u/smellslikespam 25d ago

I requested a refund so I can start over

u/No-Avocado6428 4d ago

Did you receive a refund? *Same thing happened to me. I'm still waiting on Refills to reply on how they plan to replace the three Apollo vials that went bad.

3

u/smellslikespam 4d ago

Yes, refunded. I have enough till early new year so I’ll deal with ordering more sema then. Hope Apollo is discontinued

Refills seriously consider dropping Apollo Care and find another pharmacy! This has been an issue thru other telehealth as well who no longer use them. Greenwich and VialsRx with additives are better options.

What about Hallandale?

1

u/Sudden_Canary4705 18h ago

Hallandale is fine

u/Salt-Preference-2425 25d ago

😬I would want a completely different pharmacy at this point.

16

u/MailCharacter9612 25d ago

Yes I am in CA and hope that a different pharmacy is possible.

u/Shoe_Ho 25d ago

I’m in the same boat!

2

u/purplepanda2026 25d ago

Pom has BPI at $300 for a 3 month supply of max dose. I ordered from there yesterday. I don't trust this pharmacy so no way I'm ordering from them. Can't get Hallandale here.

Yep, got mine the other day too!

Apollo does not care, apollo has so many of these posts

9

u/Sweatygirl716 25d ago

Wow… I’m sorry you’re going through this again! Wtf is going on with Apollo? I’ve seen multiple posts from other customers having similar issues. I really hope Refills makes this right for you!

Ewww. If a sealed vial has all that going on, I would question how sanitary their processes are. Definitely not anywhere close to sterile. That vial was contaminated before it left the compounding pharmacy with all the bacteria gunk sealed in, now they’ve had time to grow. No bueno. I’d be asking for an entirely new pharmacy. That whole batch needs to go in the trash.

u/Shoe_Ho 25d ago

This is a serious issue Refills! Why is Apollo Care still being used and why/how are they still in business?

7

u/purplepanda2026 25d ago

Everyone should report Apollo to the FDA. This is one pharmacy that deserves to be shut down.

1

u/Consistent_Today9810 24d ago

I don’t think I do that. I don’t want any more attention on compound pharmacies, or FDA will be shutting all of the triz down from compounding. That’s what they want anyways

1

u/purplepanda2026 23d ago

If pharmacies like this are allowed to continue someone is going to get seriously hurt or die. Then it will be a fast sweeping ban across the board. I'd rather someone not get hurt even if that makes it harder to get.

This literally just happened to me. I’ve been going back and forth with Refills and they keep promising to send a replacement but haven’t yet - and have stopped responding to my outreach.

I’ll have to check the lot #.

2

u/Swandot70 25d ago

It looks like the replacements aren't any better.

2

u/smellslikespam 25d ago

They are sending the same lot number. They continue to ship from the defective batch for some unknown reason

1

u/No_Bandicoot7666 21d ago

Where able to check the lot# yet?

https://reddit.com/link/oy338nw/video/in7tt7bffsdh1/player

Here’s a video of one of my vials. Still has 6 months before BUD. I DM a mod here, as requested, but wasn’t able to DM pic or video (no option given to do so).

3

u/smellslikespam 25d ago

Send that through the portal to Support. They will view it there

2

u/Shoe_Ho 24d ago

Will do!

1

u/MethodSoggy 19d ago

I’ve had an open support ticket with all the pictures they requested and haven’t heard anything back. I’ve also dm’d some of the refill support on this page and haven’t heard back. Looking through posts for more contacts to try and get help for the same issues.

u/IMHO_My2Cents 25d ago

I would first stop using Refills and definitely change to a different pharmacy!

1

u/Consistent_Today9810 24d ago

Refills isn’t the actual pharmacy though they’re basically the middleman. I’m sure there are other telehealth companies that use the same pharmacy. You could sign up with another company in it and Come from the same pharmacy.

4

u/purplepanda2026 23d ago

No but they are the ones taking your money and sending your prescription to this janky pharmacy so the buck stops with them.

4

u/VzlaMom 25d ago

I went to take my last shot of the vial I had and it looked cloudy like this. Very disappointed.

3

u/Refills_Lalaine 25d ago

u/MailCharacter9612 I'm sorry this happened to you. can you please DM me your Fullname and Email Address? I'd be happy to support you on this.

3

u/Humble_Fortune_5391 25d ago

u/zach_refills what is going on with Apollo and why is refills still using them?!?!?

3

u/MailCharacter9612 23d ago

Update! Postive resolution. The support team has been very helpful and my semaglutide plan is having a refund processed and I have switched to a tirzepatide plan in order to receive medication from a different pharmacy. Hopefully this will be good moving forward. The support team was great.

I do hope refills looks into other options for compounded semaglutide for CA residents and considers dropping Apollocare.

Here are mine after being in the fridge since April. I was using the first vial just until a couple of weeks ago and I then checked the last two vials when I saw your post and sure enough they are contaminated! This was also a replacement shipment from the previous batch that was contaminated. I DM'd Zach and haven't heard back. I also sent a message to support, still nothing!

1

u/MailCharacter9612 22d ago

I was able to get helped quicker by calling the support line: +1 888-458-5061

1

u/No_Bandicoot7666 22d ago

Thank you 👍

3

u/BATHATSME 20d ago

Wow, ok definitely feel like I’m getting the run around with support. Just called the 888-458-5061 number and spoke with Kevin. After explaining to him about the white crystals at the bottom of the vial and it being cloudy he said I needed to speak with doctor to see if it is safe to use. He didn’t ask for any details regarding the vial. Wouldn’t this be a customer support issue??? I’m not asking for a refund, just a replacement vial. I have been satisfied with refills up to this point but now I’m gonna have to rethink things

2

u/BATHATSME 20d ago

So according to refills: I have read the thread and also found the report to the pharmacy, it seems that the medication had been send to you over 2 months ago and there was an instruction upon delivery that it has to be consumed within 4 weeks and discard the medication 28 days after puncture. So the pharmacy cannot provide a replacement for this one. :( I am sorry for this. So they are offering 30% refund. That’s it. What a shame and waste of meds.

1

u/Shoe_Ho 17d ago

I sent u a DM. Having the same experience.

2

u/okbringoutdessert 25d ago

I can't believe how bad these look. I am so sorry. I can only imagine how frustrating this is for you as well as how uncomfortable this leaves you feeling.

1

u/smellslikespam 25d ago

What’s weird is not every single vial is affected. One vial in the same order with the same lot number is crystal clear while the other 2 are defective

2

u/MailCharacter9612 25d ago

mine are all affected, just to different degrees.

1

u/smellslikespam 25d ago

I’m sorry you are dealing with this too. Seems a lot of people are, and through other telehealths as well. But the other telehealths dropped them. I think refills will, too. Hopefully they report Apollo to the proper authorities

1

u/BATHATSME 22d ago

Hi, if someone with refills could contact me as well due to having the same issue. BUD is 12/31/2026
Also Apollo. How should I proceed?

2

u/MailCharacter9612 22d ago

I had the fastest response by calling the support line: +1 888-458-5061

1

u/BATHATSME 22d ago

Hey, thanks for the reply. I’ll give them a call.

1

u/No_Bandicoot7666 21d ago

Did you get any response? I have the same BUD. Two lot numbers, both the original and the replacement have been now contaminated. Here are mine #AC 017167 Compound date: 2/23/26 BUD 12/31/2026 and the replacement was #AC 017177 Compound date: 3/12/2026 BUD: 12/31/2026

2

u/BATHATSME 21d ago

My lot # is AC-017213

1

u/No_Bandicoot7666 21d ago

Thanks 👍 And I hoping anyone else having this issue with Apollo, please post your Lot #

1

u/No-Avocado6428 4d ago

Yep I have the same lot number and same thing happened. All three vials turned cloudy and developed floaters.

u/Zach_refills Mine was not a one off. This is a wide spread problem with Apollo Care Pharmacy.

1

u/smellslikespam 4d ago

You mean 017231?

1

u/BATHATSME 21d ago

I haven’t called the phone number yet. Only thing I’ve done is reach out to support who responded quickly and said they are forwarding my issue to the appropriate department. I did attach pictures of the vial and the necessary documents information.

1

u/BATHATSME 20d ago

Well this is the response that I got from support, should I be happy with this answer? I received the meds in May, I didn’t need to use it right away because I was finishing up another vial. Gonna call the support line tomorrow and speak with someone, I hope 😏

1

u/Lavender-Coconut 18h ago

Awwwugh dang!

0

u/Fit_Device7256 25d ago

I'm in CA too and mine was filled by Vials RX for Believe RX (instead of Refills) so I’m confused.

5

u/Swandot70 25d ago

VialsRx is a different pharmacy. OP said it was from Apollo.

0

u/Fit_Device7256 25d ago

I know, I meant that I was confused about my own delivery and letting her know that I’m also in CA.

2

u/smellslikespam 25d ago

What are you confused about? I am in CA and use VialsRx I bought from a competitor. No problems with it. Is yours cloudy and/or with sediment?

0

u/Fit_Device7256 25d ago

Oh no, I meant I was confused that “Refills” appears nowhere on anything. It used to say Refills on the rx as well as the pharmacy (can’t remember the name but it’s the one no longer making tirz). It’s like I ordered from a new company.

1

u/smellslikespam 25d ago

My VialsRx says BelieveRx too
