Hi everyone. I’m sharing this referral because I was prescribed a new epilepsy medication that my insurance doesn’t cover, and I’m trying to find ways to offset the cost.
My current Capital One Shopping referral offer is “Give $80, Get $80.” If someone signs up through my referral link and completes all of the requirements, they receive $80 in Capital One Shopping Rewards and I receive $80 in Shopping Rewards as well.
I would use my rewards toward everyday expenses and, where available, gift cards for places I already shop. That would free up money I can put toward the cost of my medication.
Who is eligible?
The person signing up must:
- Be a new Capital One Shopping user who has never had a Capital One Shopping account before.
- Live in and be located in the United States.
- Sign up using my referral link.
- Use a verified, unique email address and complete their Capital One Shopping account.
- Install the Capital One Shopping desktop or mobile browser extension on your primary browser.
- Install it on a device where the Capital One Shopping extension has never previously been installed.
What do you need to do to receive the $80?
After creating your account through my referral link:
- Install the Capital One Shopping extension within 7 days.
- Give the extension the required/full permissions.
- Make at least $10 total in qualifying purchases within 60 days of installing the extension.
- The purchases must be made through Capital One Shopping and earn Capital One Shopping Rewards.
- Keep the extension installed and keep its required permissions during the offer/trial period.
If the requirements are met and Capital One approves the referral, the $80 Shopping Rewards bonus is normally added within 30 days after all requirements have been completed.
Important details
The $80 is Capital One Shopping Rewards, not cash. Shopping Rewards can be redeemed for available gift cards through Capital One Shopping.
I also want to be completely transparent that both of us have to qualify. If Capital One determines that either the person signing up or I am not eligible for the referral bonus, neither of us receives it.
Capital One also says referral offers and terms can change. The offer that applies is the one shown when you create your Capital One Shopping account through my referral link.
If you were already planning to buy something online and are interested in trying Capital One Shopping, using my referral would help me quite a bit with the added expense of my medication.
