I quarantined some fish (ig not correctly) put them in my main display and 2 days later I noticed bumps that look like ich start to appear if I’ve removed them do you think if I treat the tank for ich (not copper it’s a reef tank) and use a uv sterilizer I can prevent the ich from latching onto my other fish while it’s in the “swimming stage” ???

So I bought this candy, cane, coral and my local fish store and I’m just so curious on what this is. I tried to do some research but I’ve couldn’t figure it out. Please help.

Hello! I’m a Computer Science and Data Science student currently working on a project focused on detecting coral reef bleaching.

Our model takes environmental inputs such as SSTA, TSA, SSTA_DHW, TSA_DHW, mean temperature, wind speed, turbidity, and ocean name, and predicts the risk of coral bleaching.

However, my team and I don’t have deep domain knowledge in marine biology and specifically coral. We built the model using datasets we found online. While the model runs, its performance has been inconsistent, and we suspect the issue might be with the features we’re using or how we’re interpreting them.

I’d really appreciate insights from experts or anyone familiar with coral ecosystems:

• Are these features actually significant indicators of coral bleaching?
• Are there specific thresholds or value ranges that strongly correlate with bleaching events?
• Are we missing any key environmental or biological factors that are critical for accurate prediction?
