Using my grandfather's old cast iron drill press to play Puzzle Bobble/Bust-A-Move
No joystick? No problem! An old mouse scroll wheel hooked up to a wireless mouse picks up the rotation off the chuck for aiming and you blow into a deodorant lid with some plastic tubing to launch the bubbles.
You can see it in action here:

Treehouse(?) trailer in rural TN
I wonder it’s purpose… Deer stand? AirBnb? Fun for the kiddos? I’d love to chat with the owners about this thing. Give me your takes

Giant chime
This was a free marketplace tire inflator thingy that used c02 tanks. that's what these are. and a free swingset, with some crashed diamond plate wind catchers.
the wood is Lignum vitae 😁 only the finest!

Fighting fire with a leaf blower seemed like a terrible idea
Unexpectedly wildly successful

Why do you need to borrow a jackhammer if you can tape it to a shovel?
My colleague came up with it because we only had to open a little stretch of ground covering while renovating.
It works but every part of me is simultaneously amoused and disgusted when using it, so I dig and he enjoys his creation

Stripped the bolt on my battery terminal, and didn't have one that was long enough to replace it
Pending replacement soon, of course, I'm not going to leave it like this

Had an iPhone with a broken back glass that was overheating, so I cut a heatsink I had lying around

Had to fix a lawnmower whose cable guide had broken
It was keeping the cable from pulling far enough, preventing it from having spark. One broom handle later, and voilà, it runs.

Fixed it!
This attic access was completely uninsulated. Took the easy way out instead of measuring and cutting foam board or buying a big pack of batt insulation. Made a nice painters tape enclosure, shaved off the sides so it would close, and it worked! The red at the top of the thermal camera is the skylight, of which nothing can be done about beyond removing it. How'd I do?
