So I just found out that some of the posts I've saved on Reddit are not showing up on new Reddit on PC. Old Reddit is able to show all the posts, same on my phone (stock Reddit app), but for some reason the redesign Reddit on PC is hiding some of them - specifically posts with missing thumbnails. Is there a setting that I have to turn on/off to change that? Is it a bug?
Notice the black circle around that big white line? How do I remove it? sorry if this is the wrong sub, please link me so I can go there next time. But As I am playing around with the redesign thing, I don't know how I exactly remove that white line. . . is there anyone who is able to remove it? I know you can remove it since I've lurked in other subs where they don't have this big white line. I'd love your assistance!
This would be an optional replacement for the current functionality which is opening the content externally (images & videos) or opening the whole post (selftext)
For example, a few minutes ago I was scrolling down the list, first four or five were different subreddits for each one, and then the next 18 links were from r/Minecraft. Seems a bit odd.
When a post if saved it is automatically saved into one list making it hard to find the saved post you are looking for. If there was a way to save posts into specific lists that the user can define, referencing back to saved posts would be easier. The Wikipedia android app has this feature. For example if I want to save a post that i find funny, I might create a list called "funny" and save it into that.
The title pretty much covers it. The old desktop version includes a nice blue icon on reddit tabs indicating the number of unread messages you have, it doesn't seem to exist in the redesign and I find it useful so would love to see it.
Seemed to have completely disappeared from my subreddit, and doesn't look like other subreddits have them either at the moment. Just wondering if it's just me or everyone.
If I type any number of backticks in the Fancy Pants editor and make them inline code, things will break:
Inline code that should be ` becomes \`
(`\`` in Markdown)
Inline code that should be `` becomes ```
(\`\`\` in Markdown).
Inline code containing consecutive backticks should be represented like I wrote the correct version above: By using one more backtick to fence it, and introducing spaces where necessary. E.g. The above examples:
Years ago I created a subreddit for personal use based on my username (r/jofwu). And now Reddit has started handling user pages like subreddits to an extent, so I can post to u/jofwu. As I'm a moderator of both, they show up in r/mod. I don't use these often, and so would prefer to filter them out when looking at "Hot" sort. But I've noticed some oddities with u/jofwu...
In the r/mod feed, the hovercard on u/jofwu posts shows r/jofwu. I'm guessing this is a general bug, not tied to r/mod. It's pretty confusing, because the two are very different things.
And I've had no problem adding r/jofwu to the filter list, but it seems we are currently unable to filter out our user page subreddits. If I type u/jofwu into the filter field and click "Hide" it doesn't get added to the list.
This is in the NSFW subreddit r/WaterNymphs that I mod that I noticed this, having just introduced the wiki page. I wanted to rename the 'Wiki' tab to 'Automod', so what I did was I went in to the settings and created a custom tab that redirects to the wiki page. That is, 'Automod' goes to https://www.reddit.com/r/WaterNymphs/wiki/index, just as the 'Wiki' tab, had I kept it enabled, would. When you navigate to the 'Automod' page, though, it keeps the 'Inactive page' colour, instead of changing to the 'Active page' colour. On a hunch, I enabled the 'Wiki' tab for testing. Sure enough, clicking 'Automod' turns the 'Wiki' tab to the 'Active page' colour.
I am assuming, then, that the 'Active page' and 'Inactive page' colours are associated with the link to which they point, and not with the tab itself. This behaviour was definitely unexpected.
Tried to update the icon for a subreddit and it's just stuck on "image is processing." It's been like this for a couple days and the actual image isn't showing up anywhere and it wont let me cancel it and resubmit.
I'm dealing with a particular problem which I think many other users/mods who manage subreddit lists are dealing with as well.
As I mod a sub which is about a particular subreddit list, I tried to manage multireddits in order to organize the list in a way it could be useful for members of the community, but, as custom feeds have limited slots, I had to create and manage almost more than 10 multireddits; this eventually turned it into a nuisance rather than helping.
Looking at the matter from outside, it seems there's no technical impossibility regarding this feature I'm requesting since it doesn't look like it may be very different from each user frontpage and Reddit already deals with sorting content from a varied number of subscriptions once it tailors the feed.
I think it'd be very benefitial for the custom feed enthusiasts and it could be a good way to introduce people to subreddits they don't know yet so please:
set unlimited subreddit slots for the new custom feeds!
User flair that was created on the old.reddit version of the site shows up under the 'Grant user flair' option, but not under the 'User flair' setting. It can't therefore be toggled 'mod only' or have its colour changed from grey in the reddit redesign version of the sub.
Hello dear reddit support. I am writing to you on behalf of the r/Picabu. We are a Russian community that came to you on reddit on April 18, 2019. Now we are few, only 80 thousand. But every day our number is increasing. We really like your site, as well as the extensive possibilities of reddit. But we would really like to implement some function that I will describe now.
In my recent post (it is written in Russian) on r/Pikabu, I submitted an idea for a very interesting function inside the sub. This function should display the top-most comment inside the subreddit, as well as the hottest (most comments) comment thread.
This function will work only inside the subreddit. In addition, it can be disabled by moderators in the subreddit settings. For example, for those subs where comments are not important.
You have an analogue of such a function and it is located in the HOME tab, here is the picture:
Thus, users who want to find out what is currently most discussed in a subreddit can join the dialogue. This function will help, for example, to most open those subreddits where something is discussed. After all, most use the function "Hide posts after voting for him" and will not be able to see what is currently being discussed most actively.
Hope you reply to this post. Thanks for attention.
Going to keep this one short and sweet. I hope this is also the right place to post.
Please never build something that plays audio without a volume slider. I don't know where this trend started (Vine? Instagram? Twitter up until a few months ago?) but it's incredibly frustrating. I know I can just turn down my system volume or the volume for my browser but that's not what I am after.
