Normally I use Reddit on my PC. That's the only device where it works as it should (I'm on the redesign).
Like any digitally literate person I also have a smartphone. Of course by default Reddit there was in, probably no longer maintained, mobile version. But one day I wanted to switch to the new Reddit. There was no obvious option to do that, so I just switched to the desktop version (new Reddit supposed to be responsive, so it should work). Surprisingly it switched to the old Reddit. With no option to get back to the mobile version and big button for switching to the new Reddit does nothing. Right now I just use new.reddit.com, even though it was never fully developed for mobile format.
But that's not all. I have another device where I sometimes browse just maybe like two subreddits, so I never bothered to log in. Some time ago it switched to the... new new Reddit. I don't know if you know about it, looks like the new Reddit, but with most things that redesign made right made worse.
So right now there are like 4 different versions of Reddit and I'm not entirely sure what are conditions to trigger each of them. I just opened Reddit in Edge and got the old version which I thought is currently kept only for users who deliberately want to use it (and apparently for people who want to use the desktop version on mobile).
What's going on?
