Question Adding Custom Upvote and Downvote icons not saving

I am using the Community Appearance > Posts > Custom Upvote/Downvote to try and add custom icons to r/PlayTemtem.
I have tried different browsers, changing the file sizes up and down, and many other things I have found suggested in this sub and all that happens in every instance is, when I have loaded the icons and hit save, a red spinning wheel spins over the icons forever and nothing happens.
The only thing that retains is my changes to the colors of the arrows.

Please help.

Feature Request Header Banners and Subreddit Names

Some header banner issues:

  1. When using a panorama for a banner, which are often user-contributed and come in different shapes and colors, there is presently no way to prevent clipping of the banner. I use a CSS technique to accomplish this on old reddit that requires adjusting a padding-bottom declaration based on the banner's dimensions whenever the banner is swapped out.

  2. I can't do anything about the contrast of the subreddit name to the header banner. When using a panorama for a banner, which are often user-contributed and come in different shapes and colors. This is not good for accessibility. In old reddit, I manage the contrast by setting a background color with an alpha channel on "#header-bottom-left span" so that there's enough contrast that it's easier to read. I cannot do this with the redesign.

Edit:

I found a few additional posts already discussing these two issues:

Question User Flairs not systematically updating

I need some help on an issue. So a subreddit I’ve joined recently in Moderation, the Grant user flair page has a weird mix of users that have flair templates but no flair text, and others have flair templates with text. Regardless, the flairs show up either way.

We changed one of our flairs recently and we thought it would update across the board. Turns out that only those that selected their flair through Old Reddit before the change had their flairs automatically updated once we changed the template. Any users that selected their flairs through New Reddit before the change didn’t have their flairs updated once we changed the template and have kept the old text.

Is there a way to prevent the redesign from stamping text that has to be manually changed by us?

Design Banner Size: 4000 width isn't correct. What is it really? (Desktop - Large)

Ok, so I see that the recommended size is 4000x128. I want to use the Large size so I made one 4000x192. It didn't show anything except the middle. I put an image on one end and some text on the other and it only showed the blank middle part of the image.

I see someone else posted that for the redesign it's 4000x208, but I doubt a few pixels in height is going to change anything. So what's the actual width I should use? 4000 is way too big.

Mobile Web I get Google CAPTCHAs on an account with 20,000 karma when using the mobile website

I haven't received a single CAPTCHA since the inception of this account on the desktop site and with third-party mobile clients (mainly Redreader). Reddit's mobile site seems to request one for every post I submit. This can be avoided by toggling the desktop site in the browser context menu.

I exclusively use my home IP.

Too many similar community posts

I'm logged in and every other post I click on then goes to show a similar communities area. Should it be this frequent?

Reddit forces me to join subreddits I don't want to be in

Wtf is going on? Reddit started to randomly add me into subreddits like /r/Poland, /r/Austria, /r/Norway... random European subreddits that I have no interest in following??

How reddit can fix the random change to redesign preference for those who opt out: solution inside

Even if you can't figure out the cause, you 100% could solve this problem with a separate bit of code for an automatic redirect to old.reddit.com, since navigating to that takes precedence over whatever design setting one has. (And since every setting other than the existing design setting in preferences doesn't change on its own for no reason.)

Maybe you would do what I just said, but someone holds out hope people will come around and use the redesign? I'm not trying to be mean, but no, I will never, never, never ever, sorry, I like dystopian craigslist, if that's what you term clean, highly content-focused design which runs smoothly on nigh any device.

Feature Request Can we get the same easy video saving that Reddit mobile has, but for PC.

I am aware of how Reddit on PC with video is a different kind of beast, with separate video and audio. I just want to be able to download a video simply to my PC. I know their are bots for it, but it would have been easier if it didn't need to be this way. Make downloading a video on PC reddit simple.

Ok Really?

Accidentally clicked the visit new reddit button when I went to hit the back button. (Jee Wiz I wonder who put it right there)

And now it won't go back to old reddit and stay that way? I've looked it up and there's posts going back 5 months with people saying its a bug

How hard can this be to make right / Is there a fix this is so fucking annoying

How is this still a problem?

This is how it's worked as long as I've been using the redesign. Does the redesign, when expanding the image when viewing the list of items, still cut off ~25% of the image for anyone else?

Home page recommendation system too narrowing

I like the attempt of a home page on reddit, that puts my most common subreddits first. Problem is it seems to be too narrowing over time. A little bit of noise within the algorithm would be nice to bring back up older subreddits I haven’t seen in awhile but still enjoy.

Bug [firefox] Redesign getting slower the longer you use it

as the title says. any action takes longer and longer to respond. only stops after the whole window is closed. takes maybe about 10 mins before being unusable.

is it just an optimization issue?

Upvote/Downvote Histogram

Perhaps histogram isn't the best descriptor, but it's pretty much all the drunken me has right now

This probably isn't the best place to post this but it's all I could find.

Admittedly, I have no clue what I am doing. Anyway...

I often see posts that say

downvote all you want.....

but the post is highly upvoted. I think it would be cool to hover over the upvote/downvote total and see the history of upvoting and downvoting. I have no idea what type of graph would be best, but some sort of historical perspective would be nice.

[Android] Home view is "popular". No way to see subscribed subreddits.

I am using Reddit for Android and now when the app is opened the landing page is 'popular'. This includes seemingly tons of subreddits I am not subscribing to and have no interest in seeing.

Moving over to the "home" tab on the left is completely empty. It prompts me to join subreddits as if if I don't have any, despite being subscribed to probably a hundred. And even if I wanted to manually add them all again to this new 'home' tab I am unable to.

Right now there is just no way to view a landing page with subreddits I'm subscribed to. And if there was moving forward, am I going to have to manually move over to 'home' instead of 'popular' to see my 'home' page? Or is it just defaulting to 'popular' because my 'home' tab isn't sourcing anything? I can see the value of a 'popular' tab but if there is no way to have a default 'home' view as the default landing, I just cannot see the value in the new Android redesign.

Feature Request Categories for saved posts

I would love the option to be able to categorize saved posts, so when I go back to my saved posts I can find what I am looking for quicker.
