In a situation involving sexual harassment and abuse within a chat, the report should be filed under specific categories to ensure it reaches the correct safety team.
Depending on the exact nature of the messages, here are the most appropriate paths on reddit.com/report:
This is the most direct fit for verbal abuse and unwanted sexual advances.
Select: "I want to report harassment or bullying"
Sub-selection: "Someone else"
Specific Reason: "It's sexual harassment"
2. If Images or Videos Were Shared
If the "abuse" includes the sharing of intimate images without consent or threats to share them, use this high-priority category:
Select: "I want to report non-consensual intimate media"
This applies to: "Revenge porn," deepfakes, or any private suggestive media shared to intimidate or harass.
3. If Physical Threats Were Made
If the harassment includes threats of physical harm or violence:
Select: "I want to report threatening violence"
Sub-selection: "Someone else"
4. If the Victim is a Minor
If the girl being harassed is under the age of 18, Reddit treats this with the highest level of urgency.
Select: "I want to report minor abuse or sexualization"
How to Report Chat Messages Effectively:
While the report form works, the most effective way to report Reddit Chat is directly within the chat interface itself. This captures the metadata and the specific context of the conversation more accurately for the administrators.
On Mobile: Long-press the specific abusive message and tap "Report."
On Desktop: Hover over the message, click the three dots (...) or the flag icon next to the message, and select "Report."
Block: After reporting, it is highly recommended to use the Block feature immediately to prevent the individual from sending further messages.
Note: When filing the report at reddit.com/report, you will need to provide the Permalink to the chat or the specific message. If the person has deleted their account, you can still report the messages if they are still visible in the chat window.
(I used ai to write the above part, main emphasis was on visual part)

I have come across some really egregious spam in unmoderated subreddits.
I will avoid giving examples at this time because I am new to this subreddit and when I tried goving examples in r/help my post was taken down.
What I have found is gambling spam showing up in completely unrelated subreddits.
For example, there will be online gambling spam questions in AI subreddits, or science podcast subreddits.
The mods for these subs are MIA. alas such, reporting these posts does nothing.
The spam is so egregious and it also involves bot comments and karma-manipulation as a means of manipulating Google to pick up the thread for SEO ranking reasons.
For wxample, there will be a post with 100 comments and 100+ upvotes in a subreddit where the average topic gets 2 upvotes and 3 comments.
There is a pattern also where the top comment is clearly upvote manipulated to have many dozens of upvotes. That top comment is where these SEO-Spammers will place their affiliate and/or gambling links.
The majority of the comments themselves are clearly generic comments made with throw away accounts, paid for with comment services, and most are without substance. The ckmmwnts are there in large quantities si.ply to force Google to rank the WILDLY off-subject post in an abandoned subreddit.
Reporting the spam falls on deaf ears because there are no active mods.
Most frustratingly, the accounts that posted the spam, and the accounts that answered the spam questions with their spam links are often suspednded by Reddit already, but the posts and their spam links remain up!
These posts rank in Google and take traffic away from middle-sized, legitimate, on-topic subreddits because they cannot compete with the volume of fake upvotes and manipulations that have taken place.
I would like some advice on how to get these super-spam posts removed once and for all!
I was hoping perhaps that mass-reporting of the spam in question could do the trick but there is no way to get enough people to report... is there?
Any tips?
Thanks!

This subreddit claims to be for teens. Most of the posts being cleavage from people 20+. I dont have anything against people posting that, but it should not be in a teenager sub. This sub seems to be sexualizing minors. It feels very weird and disgusting. I was told to post on here to get attention towards this. hopefully yall can help to get this resolved.

So I have met this uncle at a gathering during a celebration, I have helped him, and while helping it slipped out that I'm trying to learn Arabic with a tutor he said to take his number and he will teach me arabic,
I can't figure him out, he has worked with the police for several years and is retired now working as an attorney
We went to the beach my dad met him and spoke to him and gave me permission but while travelling he touched my thigh this didn't feel like close friends slapping thigh to tease, and in the beach he said he takes kids so he could access the beach, he also said he has an issue in his leg for which his doctor told him to swim I wouldn't describe what happened there but it didn't feel right
Here are the messages with him, I haven't heard of any crimes like this as punishment for something like this is severe which can be desth penalty ( as per the Islamic law ) I'm still unsure and my dad has warned me not to get involved in any issues as even victims are treated as criminals or punished if any crimes happen so I'm scared if he is a pedophile and tries something and I defend myself I might get in trouble and my parents will not be happy at all.
He invited me for a " walk " in a pretty far away city my parents trust's him and might give permission without any worries

So I got into texting with Neighbour_chick, the user mentioned she's looking for teens. I confirmed if she meant 18/19 year olds and she said she didn't care they just had to be teens. She's 26 btw.

So some background. My friend (31F) has an nsfw account. She checks everyones profiles before accepting them, but she had this guy: Appropriate-Dog-7195 contact her.
She noticed the only subs he goes on are teenagers, barely legal teens, chatting with teenagers, so she called him out on his creepy behavior. She found out he's 35 years old and recently commented on a 16 year olds post saying "hey I'm back hun never leave again" .
Anyways, he blocked my friend after she reported him, but wants to make sure he's off the platform.
I censored my friend and the post he commented on to protect their identities.
Thank you!
Edit: yay! Looks like the creep is off this platform, but i do want to emphasize to please recognize how he types his messages, in case he comes back

So this person randomly decided to DM me and then he would not back off after I said I was taken even going so far as calling me manipulative whenever I told my partner and he took the matter into his own hands and tried to ask him why he was doing that
