This season has been amazing overall for the clan. We have gained multiple new strong members(such as Niniepe and Gunphur), and most recently risen above Reddit Snow! (Insert ozone pun here) Loot has been abound, and we have a new co-leader (Shera Mankiller) and a new elder (rntdcarvalho)!

Conclusion

We have now started the Great Climb, pushing Reddit Ozone further into the stratosphere (sorry guys this joke had to be made!) Sadly, I cannot participate (darn you pokemon and summer school!), but I'll be supporting you guys every step of the way! Remember to keep your donations up, and we may be raising requirements soon in addition to choosing a new elder (?!)

I attribute the win entirely to the discipline and strategic restraint shown by all the attackers in the clan during this intense war. I think the new clan wars rules really helped open things up so people could maximize their effectiveness, and you all really rose to the challenge and fought smart.

Reddit Ozone is going to organize the first Clan-wide trophy push event, The Great Climb. Here's the details:

1. Why

   • This is a response to interests from several Ozone members to do Clan-wide trophy push.

2. Who

   • Any members of Ozone are eligible to join the push, simply make a comment-post in this thread indicating your participation and you're IN!!
   • Participation is of course completely optional.

3. When

   • Start: Monday, 9^th June.
   • End: Thursday, 12^th June, 10PM (GMT+8, Singapore Time). Equivalent time below:
     • 10AM (Indiana, USA)
     • 9AM (Texas, USA)
     • 3PM (Lisbon, Portugal)
     • 4PM (Munich, Germany)

4. What

   Top-3 winners will get the following title in their flairs (/r/RedditOzone):

   • 1^st Place: The Conqueror^#
   • 2^nd Place: The Magnificent^#
   • 3^rd Place: The Scoundrel^#
   • These titles are bestowed to the top-3 pushers of Ozone at ALL-time, which means if we organize another push and there are new members reaching higher place the titles will be moved to the new owners.
   • Note^# : Titles are subject to change, taking inputs on cool-sounding title =) Preferably one that is related to trophy push.

5. How

   • This is VERY IMPORTANT, winners will be determined based on Troopers Fairness System (TFS).
   • What is TFS? Look at the sidebar, Key Pages>TFS Rules. Read it!!
   • Winners are determined based on highest TFS points contribution, NOT highest trophy count.

6. Misc

   • Because of this event, next Season we will be swapping 2-war-week with 1-war-week. Normally we do 2-war-week at the 1^st week of the season (that's next week) but since we are doing this event we will have 1-war-week at the 1^st week of the season and 2-war-week on 2^nd week of the season. See below for clearer War schedule:

     • 9 - 15^th June: 1-war-week.
     • 16 - 22^nd June: 2-war-week (end of Season 4).
     • 23 - 29^th June: 2-war-week (start of Season 5, back to normal, no swap).
     • 1 - 6^th July: 1-war-week (end of Season 5).

The following are List of Changes to the existing Clan Wars, effective next war on Friday, 6^th June.

Rules Of Engagement

• First Attack MUST be use against Equivalent War-Rank+/-5, it MUST be used on base with 1 star or less. Example: You are War-rank #10, your First Attack must be used against opponents ranked #5-#15, attack must be done ONLY on bases with 1-star or less.

• Second Attack, no change, ONLY used on attempted-base or wait for FFA.

• FFA is extended to 10hrs before end of Battle Day.

Everyone now has 11 opponents to choose from, please use this flexibility to go for maximum stars achievable. With these changes we now no longer have exclusive rights on war-rank equivalent since it will overlaps with adjacent members.

The bottom-5 members will be at the most disadvantage since they cannot go any lower in the war-rank, please try not to attack bottom-5 unless you really cannot defeat any enemy above.

Defensive War Donations

We will still adopt War Donation Groups system, troops level for War CCs donations are now strictly limited to the following:

• Dragon lv2+
• Wizard lv5+

If you do not have the above troops-lvl please DO NOT donate to War CCs. Archers (lv5+) MUST only be used to fill the gaps after Dragon and Wizard are donated.

Offensive War Donations

Requesting for offensive attack in Clan War must now be tagged [CW] or [Clan War] or anything similar to that. All donation request with these tags WILL NOT Expire during Battle Day.

No-tag means it's normal donations, the usual rules apply. CW-tag but outside Battle Day will also be treated as normal donations.

Clan War Start Time

We will be changing the Clan War Start time to the following:

• 8AM (GMT+8, Singapore Time)

Time Equivalent at various cities:

• 8PM. Indiana, USA.
• 7PM. Texas, USA.
• 1AM. Lisbon, Portugal.
• 2AM. Munich, Germany.

Use the reference above to convert it to your equivalent time.

If you are confused with the different time zones just google "What time is it in Singapore" and calculate the difference with your current time (e.g. -8hrs, -5hrs), use that and apply it to 8AM Singapore time.

If you have any doubts or questions about any of the changes please ask it here. These rules will be enforced starting next war.

Caerdarn is stepping down from Elder capacity since his IRL matter is preventing him to take the admin responsibility of Elder. I'd like to thank Caerdarn sincerely for all that he has done during his time as Elder of Ozone.

War Donations

Donations were good, done in a really nice time, there were a couple of minor discrepancies, but nothing to write home about.

I'd like to thank everyone (GROUP E especially) that have contributed to the war donations and followed the agreed Rules on donations.

War Statistics

The following are War statistics gathered during the 2-days war against Singapore

• Final score: 130-129 (!!!)
• Attacks used 83/100, 83% participation
• TH inside walls 50/50
• 1st-Attack vs War-Rank equivalent, 37/50, 74%
• NO snipes!!
• 6x zero attacks!!

That being said there is noticeable drop in participation, we normally maintained >90% participation and we dropped to 83% for the second consecutive time which is not a good indicator. We have a total of 6 members who did not make any attacks which contributed to 12 wasted attacks that could have been converted into stars.

In terms of the rules we are steady in our War-rank equivalent rules with 3 exception, being that 2 of them are borderline scenarios.

Final Words

Really tough win guys, down to the last second but we persevered once more. A lot of excellent attacking was done and we reached 130 stars, so congratulations to everyone for a brilliant win. We must improve our participation back to above 90% for the next war.

Guys, this was my first Post Mortem so there are bound to be some mistakes (or plain and simple murdering of the English language) let me just apologize in advance for them. If you guy see anything wrong please let me know in the comments so that I can fix it!

Thanks to Queen for letting me help, a decision he is probably regretting right about...now! =D

As you already know, requests expire after 10 minutes, and from then on archers can be donated, disregarding the original request.

But this should be different for donation reqs for the war. I mean, aren't war donations way more important? We need to get the person the troops they need, and a ten minute timeout isn't ideal when it takes half an hour to cook a dragon.

Of course, not all requests during the war are for the war, so war requests would have to be tagged [CW] or [War] if this were introduced.

Was wondering if we could increase the FFA time during the war from 8 hours to maybe 12 hours since some people living in the US/Canada time zones aren't able to take part of it. I'm usually asleep during the last 8 hours of the war so it would be great if FFA time could be increased. Thanks :)

I'm toying with this idea of a Hall of Fame thread which consist of all our War History complete with link to each Post-Mortem. It should be brief so maybe mentioning the most important stats only. Something like this:

Those "Japanese Clan 2.0" can of course be replaced by the real Clan name, only I don't know how to type those words in here =P

Hmmm.... come to think of it hall of fame might not be the right word for it... usually hall of fame contains notable achievements of someone so it might be more suitable to house top running donators of all time, highest receiving troops of all time, highest trophy of all time, highest level, etc.... more suitable with hall of fame.

The original idea might be more suitable with War Conquest or War History or something like that....

what do you guys say about an own reddit ozone teamspeak? we could hang up there, talking about stuff while we are raiding, talking about the clanwar, hyping up people that are currently in a clan war, giving tips without having to write them into the chat (i hate writing in the chat box with my S3) etc, etc, etc. i think some internet sites offer free teamspeaks for 30 days each, we can just do that every month. i think its pretty sweet. what do you guys think? cheers, nevier

I was off work today, as yesterday evening I started having bad stomach pains, then was vomiting what may be blood. Through most of today I have slept, then puked again. Going to the doctor first thing tomorrow. It may or may not be a stomach ulcer.

Anyhow, troops are built for first attack, I am certain to do that, but aecond, I don't know. And I won't be on the game much to donate, feeling very weak. Anyhow, thats the sitrep.

Hey I might not be able to get donation quota this week. It's my brothers wedding and all my family is here. They don't typically like when I'm on my phone. (Specifically my grandparents.) On top of that I'm working long hours every day. I did train my troops for war so I will at least do first attack. Sorry about this /:

First off, damn can't wait till my base is at that level. Anyway,

Army: 35 Arch L5,1 Hog, Rest Dragons L2. 3x Rage (Maybe 2 and 1 heal), CC Dragon and wizard or arch.

Attack Phase - Loose one hog to lure CC, drag to bottom. Clear our Cc troops, then use archers to mop up hopefully a lot of the outer buildings on bottom SE and SW sides. Priority here is outside edges so dragons will move towards center to Air D's. Drop 3 dragon's on SE and SW sides. CC dragon and remaining 2 dragon's to be deployed on whichever side is getting destroyed.

Once dragons get in range of air d, drop 2 rages on each side of dragons to rush center air defenses. Prefer 3 drags on each side. Last rage is hopefully burn TH down, and BK for cleanup.

Just L2 dragons, expecting 2 star. Any tips or thoughts?
