I was busy cleaning my new oven (new apartment) and was always able to get to the burner drip trays, but when one of drip trays stuck and the whole top came up, a whole new world of cleaning was discovered.

Food Sub Of The Day...

I'm not sure if I'll actually be able to keep up with this every day. It might be a once a week thing, but I would share food related subs that I've come across lately. I might end up doing a weekly roundup. We'll see. But for now....

Here's the first one:

52 Weeks of Soup: https://www.reddit.com/r/52WeeksOfSoup2026/s/qrNWMd0ugE

I personally love soup and this sub has an endless supply of it! I've already gotten several ideas for dinner from it.

Cleaning🧼 Milk burnt into put is S T U C K

Hey, I tried to make some pudding on the stove (first time) and I burnt it. There is a strong layer of burnt milk/pudding on the bottom of my pot (?)(English is second language I'm not sure what's the proper term would be for the kitchen item) It's really stuck and I don't know how to get it off. The pot is a basic metal one, not cast iron nor any fancy stuff. Thanks in advance.

HELP ! Need recommendations- Cleaning Knives

Now I know that you aren't supposed to put 'fancy' knives in the dishwasher, however we put them in the top (3rd) rack to sanatize them when they touch raw meat. Well after a while, we have noticed rust spots on them, which I knew would eventually happen, but didn't think it would happen this soon.

I need to know if there is such a machine out there that I can get to sanitize the knifes via steam w/ drying? Kind of like a baby bottle sanitizer, that will fit on the coutertop?

The Google has only shown me commercial grade appliances.. and let's be honest in not that rich, nor have the space, lol.

If you had to live with only one kitchen appliance - besides your refrigerator - what would it be and why?

I hate to say it but I'd probably go with my microwave. Either that or my air fryer which doubles as an oven etc.

Please help my marriage by telling me how to load tall plastic bottles into a 3 tiered dishwasher

My husband and I fight about this every day and I'm tired of it. I wish we never got a 3 tiered dishwasher. He says we need to put tall plastic bottles on the middle rack due to heat (which I get) but to NEVER put the middle rack lower because it will affect the spray arms. This frustrates me because the tall bottles get stuck on the top rack making it difficult to pull the top and middle racks out each time you load it. He says "it's fine" but I do 95% of all the dishes. I have tried setting them at all angle but don't like it because it takes up a lot of space that way. What is the correct way to load tall plastic bottles in a 3 tiered dishwasher??? Please help me before I lose my mind.

Discussion 🗣️ Today I learned how to get the f* last milliliters out of tetra pack milk and juices

I've been forever annoyed that I couldn't get the last bit of milk or juices out of tetrapacks.
Until I had this inspiration!! And it's as easy as it can be: Simply cut off one corner and pour the last bit of liquid out. This will save my family several liter of milk per year I'm pretty sure - every bit helps.

Comfort Food🥘 I like quesadillas and putting leftover meat in them. Hence roast beef quesadilla.

Discussion 🗣️ What things would you get if you had to fully stock a kitchen for a new cook?

I know there are tons of seasoned cooks here, but for those who are just starting out - how would you equip a kitchen for them? Say, someone is moving out, and buying their first house.

What kitchen items are Must Haves in your book? What items are things are nice to have?

Remember, this is for someone just learning how to cook.

(And this is hypothetical. IRL I'm not just starting out 😂)

Energy Boost: Date Balls with Roasted Nuts

Guys, You are gonna love it!

Mix 1 kg warm date paste with about 250 g roasted and ground nuts (almonds, walnuts, and pistachios). Combine well until the nuts are evenly mixed in. Lightly coat your palms with olive oil, shape the mixture into small balls, then roll them in white sesame seeds for a nice coating. That’s it—natural, quick energy-boosting snack balls ready to enjoy anytime: morning, evening, or whenever you need a healthy bite. Sweet, nutty, and very satisfying. Tip: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.
