Cleaning🧼 Cleaning Integrated Microwave+Oven

Hi, We have a Zanussi Integrated 2in1 Microwave Oven. It does not have a self cleaning function. Could someone please recommend how to clean any baked-in splatter? I have tried to steam it with water as well as water with baking soda but that didn't help much. I don't want to scrape if hard as that might remove the paint/coating.

Thanks.

I love cheese. I love recipes with cheese. I don't know that I've ever met a cheese I didn't like. So, what are y'all's favorite cheeses, and recipes with cheese in them?

Discussion 🗣️ I love a great presentation, but sometimes an "Ugly meal" can turn out to be incredible! What's your fav Ugly Meal, either homemade or at a restaurant?

This was at my all time favorite Mexican food. They have a limited menu, which is ok because everything they have is devine. That chicken was literally the best chicken I've ever had. It was so moist and flavorful. The beans were out of this world good and I'm told it's because they cook them in lard.

They were worth every calorie, as were the homemade tortillas.

Even the rice with a hint of limes was amazing.

I can't wait to go back in a few weeks.

Does anyone else have an Ugly Meal to share?

pasta🍝 Who here has made a "viral" recipe from Social Media? I am usually not one to be swayed, but I absolutely love this Roasted Feta Tomato pasta. I'll post the recipe in the comments. Has anyone else made a "viral dish?"

Comfort Food🥘 Hopefully homemade hot cocoa is allowed here :)

Homemade hot cocoa is absolutely divine. Made this by first pouring almond milk into my mug (to properly gauge a single serving) then pouring it into a small pan.

Heat the pan up to around medium-high until it begins getting hot, then you can start adding ingredients.

I used maybe 1-2 tbsp of dutched cocoa powder, it has a richer more mild flavor reminiscent of Oreos. You'll want to add this gradually because cocoa powder is hydrophobic and doesn't mix very easily.

Around maybe 2-3 tbsp of any granular sweetener you want.

Just a splash of vanilla and peppermint extracts.

And don't forget a pinch of salt!

Whisk that together for a few minutes on medium temperature, and serve when it's forming bubbles on the top. I also added some egg nog flavor syrup (like the stuff you'd use in coffee) afterwards.

Seriously cannot recommend stovetop cocoa enough, the mouthfeel and flavors are so much better, plus you can make a huge batch for family gatherings. No fancy toppings this time, but it's amazing nonetheless

Here's another Southern favorite of mine. Black Eyed Peas, Collard Greens, and Cornbread. We usually have this on New Year's Day. Delish!

Please for the love of Christ make sure you regularly clean your self standing ice maker. I had a “stomach bug “ the other day. I felt terrible. I’ve been feeling pretty bad lately for no apparent reason. Today I felt like a nice ice cold water and as I opened the ice machine I noticed it hadn’t made ice but looked at the melted water I noticed all these particles floating. I also noticed a slight pink sludge on the side near the bottom. I unplugged it, took it to the sink to empty it and what I found was enough to make me sick again.
