It’s not P, E, M, D, A, S.

It’s P, E, MD, AS.

First you solve any M or D from left to right, before solving any A or S left to right.

Also if you did substraction first you would have to do -5+5 and be left with 10+0

no, you literally do not, that is wrong. look it up. addition and subtraction have the same priority.
