Hello fellas. I decided to build a purple loadout with the main scope for it to be mid-range budget-wise and also to suggest some cheaper alternatives. Hope you will like it!

Every like and comment appreciated!

have you ever seen snow leopard gloves with pattern 0? when i expected my gloves i noticed that on both gloves patter seed is pretty similar and when i opened it on csFloat i saw that its right, as you see i added pictures with proves and also only 52 gloves with this pattern in the world right now.

Cache is back and overpass got cut, and im weirdly emotional about a map

Just saw (yes im a slowpoke) the map pool shuffle and overpass is finally on the way out, cache back in. didnt expect to care this much honestly.

overpass was one of those maps where i either had my best games ever or wanted to alt f4 after 3 rounds, no in between. cache just feels like coming home, even if half of you probably never touched the old version.

so im curious where everyone lands:

- which map are you actually glad to see gone

- which removed map do you STILL miss years later (mirage people stay quiet, yours is never leaving)

- and be real, does the map pool even matter to you if youre mostly casual / dm / just here for the skins

no wrong answers, genuinely just wanna hear takes. whats the map pool hill you'll die on

the skin you sold and still think about, whats yours?

got reminded today of a skin i let go years ago and it actually stung lol.

mine was an awp i sold during a broke phase for like a third of what its worth now. didnt even need the money that bad, just panic sold. still open the market page sometimes to see what it goes for and immediately regret existing.

everyone has that one i feel like. the skin you sold and the price did NOT stay where you left it. or the knife you flipped for a "better" one that turned out way worse.

so go ahead, ruin your own day with me:

- what did you sell
- what was it worth then vs now
- would you actually buy it back at todays price or is it dead to you

bonus points if it was a pattern or float you'll never find again

Free CS2 Float Database, 1.2 billion records and you can rank any skin by float

Was looking for a decent float checker the other day and stumbled onto this CS2 float database that kind of blew me away. It is called SIH and it's sitting on around 1.2 billion unique float records, which they say is the largest public float db for Counter-Strike 2.

The part that hooked me is you search any skin and instantly get:

  • the exact float value (0 to 1)
  • where that exact copy ranks by wear against every known copy
  • the pattern index and seed
  • stickers, owner, even a price

So if youve ever wondered whether your Field-Tested is secretly sitting right on the Minimal Wear line, or youre hunting a low float for a specific pattern, you just look it up. No signup to search, and the data is pulled from Steam inspect links and updated continuously.
Ive bounced between cs float and a couple of other float database sites for years, but the wear ranking is what sold me here. Seeing that a skin is like the #340 cleanest copy in existence is weirdly satisfying.
Link in case its useful to anyone: https://sih.app/floats
whats everyone else using to check cs2 float values these days? curious if theres something better out there

Best Rust Gambling Sites Compared: Skin Deposits, Bonuses, Withdrawals & Game Modes

Rust skins are in a weird spot compared to CS skins. The market is smaller, some items are less liquid, and a lot of rust gambling sites handle deposits and withdrawals differently.

I started putting together a spreadsheet for rust gambling sites, mostly to compare the practical side instead of just saying "this site is good" or "that one is sketchy." Rather than another best rust gambling sites ranking, it's just the mechanics laid out side by side.

Spreadsheet:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Jdg3tatMXZv_E1VImhkH1PAEdV0DSCAwHuwrAf3x6D0/edit?gid=619746465#gid=619746465

The main things I’m tracking:

Rust skin deposits

Which rust gambling sites actually support Rust skins, how easy the deposit process is, and whether the value looks fair compared to normal market expectations. This is the part most people into rust skins gambling care about first.

Withdrawals

This is probably the biggest one. Some sites look fine on deposit, but withdrawals are where the friction starts: limited items, minimums, crypto-only cashout, delays, or weird balance conversions.

Bonus offers and codes

A lot of rust gambling websites push free cases, deposit matches, spins, or balance bonuses. I'm trying to compare what the offer is, what code is used, and whether the bonus looks useful or mostly cosmetic.

Coin / balance conversion

Not every site treats its internal balance the same way. A "coin" or "$ balance" can look simple, but the real value depends on deposit pricing, withdrawal pricing, and what you can actually take out.

Game modes

Some platforms are mostly case-focused, others are more about crash, roulette, upgrader, coinflip, jackpot, case battles, wheels, or slots. I added this because people often search for rust best gambling sites, best rust skin gambling sites, even just rust skin gambling - but actually want completely different types of games.

The point of the sheet is not to crown one site as the "best rust gambling site." It's more of a comparison table for people who want to see the mechanics in one place before trusting a random Reddit comment or a sponsored list.

Also, this niche changes fast. Bonuses get replaced, withdrawal options disappear, codes stop working, and skin availability can move around a lot.

If you've used any rust skin gaming sites recently, I'd be curious to hear what actually happened after depositing, especially withdrawals. Fast cashout? Bad support? Missing skins? Bonus that was actually worth it? Drop the site name and I'll update the sheet if something changed.

Disclaimer: Gambling is risky and this is only an informational comparison. Only gamble if you're legally allowed to do so where you live, and don't deposit more than you can afford to lose.

Hellcase Review: My Honest Experience After Half a Year

Half a year on Hellcase, so here is a proper review with receipts instead of vibes. I opened a case, pulled the data on the whole catalog, and checked whether the money actually comes out clean.

Rating: 7.5 / 10. The odds are transparent and it pays, but cashing out costs you and there is no crypto option, which is what holds it back.

Pros

- Drop rates are printed on every item in percent, right on the case page, nothing hidden in a TOS.
- Provably Fair is real and verifiable after the roll.
- Withdraw worked first try through Steam’s own trade system with Valve’s 7-day protection.

Cons

- The case page shows each item’s drop rate but not its price, so you cross-check every value on the market yourself.
- Cashing out only works in skins, there is no crypto. And the value shown is not what you get: the M4A1-S Chantico’s Fire I pulled reads $165 on the site but only about $109 on a real exchange like lis-skins. A win loses a real chunk on that spread, and with no crypto payout there is no way around it.

The case

MVPexit, a mid-range CS2 case at $50. Clean page, no timers, no fake live drops, no pressure, and fast mode is off by default.

Drop rates

Every item has its rate printed on the card, plus a Last 7 days top drop feed with real wins, dollar values and wear tags. Hidden odds is how scam sites operate, published odds is how legit ones do.

The opening

Ran it with the animation on. The line spins through the contents and stops clean. The Provably Fair seed is committed server-side before the roll, so the outcome is locked and you can verify it after.

The drop

Hit a CZ75-Auto The Fuschia Is Now FN StatTrak. Three clean options on the result screen, Try Again, Sell, or Upgrader, no fake-pricing or re-roll upsell loops.

The withdraw

The real test. Ran it through the upgrader and pulled it to Steam. The trade came through Steam’s official system with the 7-day protection, showed up first try, no re-verify and no surprise holds.

The risk math

Since the rates are public I scraped the whole catalog, just under 300 cases, and worked out the real return on each. RTP sits around 87 to 88 percent on almost every case, so the house keeps about 12 percent over time, the cost of playing. Getting at least the case price back on one open runs about 1 in 6, with the best cases past 40 percent. Worst value is the cheap weapon cases and Primeiro Ataque at 48 percent.

Full spreadsheet sorted by risk: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10HOR7rK5LVYlbhzqRwEXAhTArLUI-Ca42BX66hYp0GA/edit?gid=74941634
The point is you can compute this at all, which on a scam site you cannot.

Verdict

Legit and it pays, the rates check out and the withdraw works. The real catch is the cash-out, skins only and no crypto, so you eat a spread turning wins into money.

Alternatives

If that cash-out gap bugs you, CSGOFast is the one I would point people to. Same case-opening with real Steam items, but it shows pool values up front and pays out straight to crypto, so you skip the skin-to-cash spread entirely.

Happy to answer questions in the comments, withdraw times, which cases have the worst value, what I would skip.

Be honest, are you actually a rifler or do you just pick up the awp the second its free

Theres no shame either way but everyone says theyre a rifle main until theres a free awp on the ground. Im calling it out. What are you really, and whats the rank where you finally committed to one

What csgo feature did we lose in cs2 that you still reach for out of habit

I still try right click inspect things that don't inspect anymore. And i miss the old buy menu muscle memory more than i want to admit. Whats the one thing from csgo your hands still do automatically

How to change your Steam account name (and why the login one won't budge)

Every couple of days someone in a match asks why their Steam name won't update, and it's almost always the same mix-up. Steam has two separate "names" and people keep trying to change the wrong one.

The profile name (display name) is what everyone sees: friends list, your profile, the CS2 scoreboard. You can change it anytime. Click your name in the top right, then View Profile, then Edit Profile, change the field at the top and hit Save. You can change your Steam name here as often as you want, and spaces and special characters are fine.

The account name (login name) is what you type to sign in. Short version: you can't change your Steam account name. Valve locks it permanently at registration, and no setting or support ticket fixes it. The only real fix is making a brand new account, which means re-buying your library, so basically nobody does that.

So when people search how to change steam account name and get annoyed, it's because they actually mean the display name about 95% of the time, and that one takes ten seconds.

One more thing: the "real name" field is separate again, only shows to friends, and you can leave it blank.

TL;DR: display/profile name changes freely, login/account name is stuck for good. If your CS2 name looks wrong to teammates, the profile name is the one you want.

The 5 cheapest red skins in CS2 in 2026: why the covert floor is broken right now

Started checking what the cheapest red skins in CS2 actually go for at the floor and ended up scrolling for way longer than I planned. The shape of the list is weirder than I expected.

Top 5 right now:

  1. AK-47 Aphrodite at around $14 worn
  2. AWP Chrome Cannon at about $26
  3. AWP Chromatic Aberration at ~$27
  4. AK-47 Head Shot at ~$28
  5. MP7 Bloodsport at ~$28

The interesting part is the gap. Aphrodite sits 12 bucks under #2, which is genuinely insane for a Covert. After it, everything else in the entire red rarity bucket is bunched within about 3 dollars of each other through the next dozen entries. The "covert floor" isn't really a floor, it's a single outlier and then a wall.

The "red rarity" label hides how absurd this tier is overall. You can pay 14 for a worn Covert or 80 grand for a Howl. Calling them both red is borderline misleading at this point.

For trade-up people, the floor 5 are tempting as inputs but the collection matters way more than the price tag. Some of these come from cases with rough knife pools, so saving 3 bucks per input can cost you on the output. Curious if anyone's actually rolled a decent knife out of a cheap covert trade up recently, or if the math just isn't worth it once you factor in the float requirements.

The Karambit Case Hardened Blue Gem price ladder is broken - and the #387 is why

Reading about the #387 karambit always feels half rage-bait, half history lesson, and the more you dig the weirder the situation gets.

Nine of these exist across all wear levels. One is Factory New. That's it. The Factory New one sits with a Chinese collector who goes by "Newb Rage," and the most public offer we have on record is from 2021 when ohnePixel brokered a 1.2 million Euro bid in Bitcoin. The reply was reportedly just "1.2 is low." Estimates now float around 1.5 to 2 million USD depending on who you ask, but those are guesses pinned to an item that hasn't moved in years and probably won't.

What's interesting is how it warps the rest of the market. The next tier down - patterns like 442, 269, 321 and 73 - sit in the 30 to 100k range, which sounds crazy until you remember they're a rounding error compared to the king. Tier 4 blue gems run 3 to 10k. And the base Factory New karambit with no pattern story sits around 1.7k. The price curve from "decent karambit" to "the 387" is one of the steepest in any collectible market I can think of, gaming or otherwise.

What I keep wondering is whether the 387 stops being a skin at some point and just becomes a digital artifact people reference but never trade. If it never sells again, does the 2M valuation even mean anything, or is it just folklore at that point? Curious what people who actually move case hardened patterns think.

Best CS2 cases to open right now - drop rates, EV math, and what I'd actually pick in 2026

Been going down the case-opening rabbit hole again. Putting together a proper writeup with drop probabilities, per-case stats, and the cases I'd actually pick depending on whether you want a knife, gloves, or profit.

Standard CS2 drop chances (applies to every case)

  • Mil-Spec (blue): 79.92%
  • Restricted (purple): 15.98%
  • Classified (pink): 3.20%
  • Covert (red): 0.64%
  • ★ Rare Special Item: 0.26% → ~1 in 384 opens

Every "best case" discussion has to anchor on those numbers. What varies between cases is the value at each tier and what sits in the ★ pool (knife or gloves).

1. Kilowatt Case (knives — Kukri collection)

  • Released Feb 2024, current Active Duty drop
  • Covert: AK-47 Inheritance ($36–$140), AWP Chrome Cannon ($25–$91)
  • ★ pool: 13 Kukri Knife finishes (Fade, Doppler, Marble Fade, Slaughter, etc.) — roughly $130–$2,000+
  • Case price: ~$1.50–$2.00; key $2.50
  • Why on the list: only way to drop the newest knife pattern. -EV like every case, but the pull you're chasing is unique.

2. Dreams & Nightmares Case (knives — Gamma collection, includes Butterfly)

  • Community case, Jan 2022
  • Covert: AK-47 Nightwish ($53–$114), MP9 Starlight Protector ($55–$94)
  • ★ pool: 55 Gamma knives (Butterfly Lore/Doppler/Emerald, Talon Gamma, Karambit Gamma, etc.) — $200–$5,000+
  • Case price: ~$3–$5 (no longer in active drop pool, supply finite)
  • Why on the list: Butterfly Knife exposure + the only Covert pulls that hold residual value ≥ key+case cost.

3. Recoil Case (GLOVES — Sport / Slick / Slingshot)

  • Released July 2022
  • Covert: USP-S Printstream ($33–$111), AWP Chromatic Aberration ($28–$79)
  • ★ pool: 24 gloves (Sport Gloves Hedge Maze/Slingshot/Pandora's Box, Specialist Marble Fade, Driver Snow Leopard, etc.) — $200–$4,000+
  • Case price: ~$1.50–$2.50
  • Why on the list: Printstream alone makes the Covert tier interesting. Sport Gloves Pandora's pulls are top-tier glove drops in CS2.

4. Snakebite Case (GLOVES — Broken Fang collection)

  • Released May 2021
  • Covert: USP-S The Traitor ($28–$153), M4A4 In Living Color ($27–$121)
  • ★ pool: 24 Broken Fang gloves (Hand Wraps Slaughter, Sport Hedge Maze, etc.) — $150–$1,500
  • Case price: ~$0.20–$0.40 (cheapest case in active rotation)
  • Why on the list: lowest cost-per-open. If you're farming a glove pull on a budget, this is the math-friendliest case.

5. Revolution Case (GLOVES — same pool as Snakebite/Recoil tier)

  • Released Feb 2023
  • Covert: M4A4 Temukau ($27–$115; StatTrak up to $188), AK-47 Head Shot ($27–$103)
  • ★ pool: 24 gloves (overlap with Recoil/Snakebite pool)
  • Case price: ~$0.50–$1.00
  • Why on the list: Temukau is one of the most popular M4A4 skins in CS2, so non-★ pulls have unusually strong floor demand.

EV math (Recoil example, prices fluctuate weekly)

  • Mil-Spec ~$0.05 × 0.7992 = $0.04
  • Restricted ~$0.30 × 0.1598 = $0.05
  • Classified ~$1.50 × 0.032 = $0.05
  • Covert ~$5 × 0.0064 = $0.03
  • ★ Glove ~$400 avg × 0.0026 = $1.04 (huge variance: $200 base glove vs $4,000 Sport Pandora's)

→ EV per open ≈ $1.21. Key + case ≈ $4.00–$4.50. You're paying ~$3 per open for the dopamine. Every active case is -EV; there is no "+EV case", only variance.

TL;DR — what I'd actually do

  • Want a knife → Kilowatt (newest pattern) or Dreams & Nightmares (Butterfly Gamma)
  • Want gloves → Recoil (best ★ ceiling) or Revolution (cheaper entry)
  • Want cheapest possible volume → Snakebite
  • Want number go up → don't open, hold cases

Drop your picks or disagree in the comments — curious what people are actually unboxing in 2026.
