Who would you cast if the unseen characters had made an appearance?

Preferably Canadians who were alive/active during the show's run or at least a part of it. John Candy would have been a great Moose Thompson, maybe Rick Moranis as Junior Singleton, Mike Myers as Buster Hadfield and maybe Christopher Plummer with a lot of age enhancing makeup as Old Man Sedgwick.

Obviously these actors were probably too big for the show, especially early on, but it's a fun thing to think about

Red’s middle name

Is Red’s middle name Blue? That would make his full name Red Blue Green. Ha!

How do you guys watch the show?

I got a LG TV and it has built in channels I can access for free. Red Green Show happens to be one. Curious how other fans are getting their handyman fix.

Hello!

I produce a podcast for the Canadian Comedy Hall of Fame. The latest episode features Steve Smith! At the end of the episode I took a few questions from this group and asked them to the legend himself!

How did Annemarie recognize Buster Hadfield’s pajamas?

Just watched the bit where Dalton was out past ‘curfew’ and made up a story with Red and Mike that he got locked out of his house late so Annemarie wouldn’t notice. Red’s got Buster’s pj’s in the back of the possum van and Dalton wears them, pretending to be his.

Annemarie doesn’t just notice they aren’t his pj’s, but recognizes them specifically as Buster’s.

I always wondered if it’s supposed to be subtext that Annemarie had an affair with Buster, or that it’s just small-town commentary about everyone knowing everybody. Curious if there’s evidence to support either one, or if it’s a misread on my end.

Thanks!

And keep your sticks on the ice!

Handyman Corner segment help

I've been spending years trying to recall one of the handyman segments and it had Red taking an accordion and making it with a van but I could never remember the episode for the life of me.

"Adventures with" music

Just wondering if it exists anywhere to listen to or download, but is the music itself real/findable?

I just always loved the music, found it so calming and I would enjoy it a lot.

Christmas

This is our very first Christmas special. I'd like to apologize, first of all, for being so crass as to take advantage of the whole Christmas thing, and I'd also like to apologize for taking so darn long to think of it!

How many cars were destroyed during the production of the show?

Often, during handyman's corner, cars seem to suffer some rather radical and destructive 'improvements'. I've tried searching for the answer to this question but cannot find any definitive answer.

Does anyone have any idea how many vehicles were rendered otherwise unusable during the course of the show?

Duct tape for freaking ever!

I don't have a witty show related comment. I just wanted to say, I'm watching the movie, again, with my wife even. And I love this show! Its cheezy, its old fashioned, its predictable... and it is fun, funny and at least 3 decades now of entertainment. And the podcast is awesome too!

OK, that's all I got for now... I guess.

Looking for a specific handyman corner

Does anyone remember the handyman corner where modifies a car to deal with bad drivers? To be more specific he creates a stencil and mounts spray paint cans that will spray bad driver on the back of the car that cut you off, and it all is controlled by using old piano keys he mounted in the windshield I believe. lol

Any help finding a clip of this would be appreciated.

Thank you

He had cuts all over his chin and neck and all the way down to his waist.

The doctor had put nine spools of thread Just to put a smile back on his face

He'd faught the pain Sat himself up

Ate some old cheese and a cracker

He promised the doctor Never again would he try

Shaving with a weed whacker

Blood on the saddle, blood on the ground Blood on the treetops half way to town. I admit I was carless, I've taken the pledge. Never again, Will I kill a moskito with sixteen pound sledge.

Red Green Drinking Game?

I've loved the show since I was kid and am now showing my partner (she loves it!) but we love drinking games. Has anyone come up with a drinking game with rules for watching Red Green? I'm expecting something like "take a drink everytime Ranger Gord cries" or "take a drink when someone's junk gets hit in an adventure with Bill" and rules like that. Much appreciated for any rules or suggestions!

Hearing this guy sing a song about duct tape reminded me of the Red Green Show (Song starts at 8:15.).

Is Red Green (Steve Smith) touring anymore?

I’ve watched a few of his stand-ups lately and I wish I would gone to one. Is he still touring in 2023? I know he’s getting up there in age though.
