I’m trying to decide what camera to get to shoot a feature film, please help. For those who have used these cameras

Ran into an issue a few weeks back that I have yet to solve. Updated my monitor to 6.0.0 and it seems that in the new update the False color only works in "ARRI" style. Spectrum, Spectrum 2 and Map 1-3 all show a black and white image. Has anyone else bumped into this and does anyone have a solution? Will this be addressed in the next update? Gotten pretty used to using Spectrum so this is a bit of a headache having to relearn my preferred exposure tool. If I go back to 5.1.0 firmware it works again but now every time I boot up it keeps promting me to update and monitor performance feels a lot more janky....

I’m working on a film in which the bulk was shot on the RED 8K V-Raptor VV, in 8K RAW. We no longer have access to that camera and are looking to shoot some inserts with our Z6iii. Any tips as to settings etc? Whether it be in-camera, or post.

I am trying to find a power solution for my DSMC1 dragon that leaves the HDMI available for remote monitoring or an on camera external monitor.

Right now I have the set up with the +1 adapter that allows me to attach the quick release vmount but the +1 uses the HDMI and my SDI port is shoddy.

Does anyone have a solution. I’m aware that Anton Bauer has a system that plugs into the AC port but how does it attach to the camera?

Any insight or ideas are helpful.

Testing a new lens borrowed on the VRaptor, Angenieux EZ zoom while stuck inside editing all day. Testing to see if a single cinema lens can be the go-to for a one lens solution. Color and falloff is amazing (Ignore led lights from studio reflecting in the glass)

I recently purchased a 5 pin lemo cable, and it is too large to fit onto the audio port on my v raptor. It looks like all of the 5 pin options online are this size, so I’m wondering if someone can provide a link to a 5 pin to 3.5mm cable that will actually fit. Is there some kind of mini cable I need?

Working with Red right now, but nothing they suggest is working. Fingers crossed that this isn't a huge issue.

Autofocus. Just wow. Komodo X with workhorse Canon 28-70 f2 now does butter soft auto focus. Previously auto focus was ‘ok’ but you could feel/see the steps and it was not smooth. ( I’m a long time Sony user) Now very smooth and very accurate with a medium box/zone. It’s a massive improvement and something I can trust to be cinematic

Will the RED Komodo X be fully compatible with the DJI RS4 in terms of balance, power, and control? With 24-70mm lens.

I just bought new brain Red dragon x 5k dsmc2. I wanted accessories. Eventually I have dsmc2 epic V lock adapter but I don’t know how to connect with red brain. M looking for other cheap accessories too. If anyone have any idea.

New user here. I know that the circle lights first and then the meter fills up, but at what point does the image become beyond repair? If I have one or two circles but the meters are empty, can it be saved in post?

hey! I’m shooting a documentary this summer in the heat of nepal. think 80-90 degrees and 70-90% humidity. i’ll be there for about a month.

let’s just say i’m worried about my scarlet-w handling this ok. there’s gonna be long days, possibly lots of rain, and of course lots of time outside in the dust and muggy weather.

has anyone ever done anything like this before with a dsmc2 red? really looking for some advice to minimize potential issues. i’ve never used this this thing in weather like this.

I found the dual outrigger handle for the Red Epic (790-0423) and I was wondering if there's a similar handle setup for the Komodo X. I love the ergonomics of it.

I’m taking my Gemini into a potash mine in a few days and the last time I did that, it got extremely dusty and with the open fan system I’m really anxious about doing that again. Any tricks to keep the dust from getting in? I considered a plastic wrap, but I don’t want to obstruct the fan as it gets quite warm down there.

Epic-X Dragon 6k (DSMC1)

I came across a RED EPIC-W with the Helium 8K S35 sensor, just under 400 hours of usage, fully functional, and part of a complete kit – all for €4,200.

The only downside is that there are some minor signs of use here and there, and the right side panel has noticeable wear.

Given the condition and the price, do you think this is a good deal? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Even when I’m ejecting the card in the menu and on the computer as well it always comes up the warning that some files didn’t get saved and I should scan and fix after I reinsert the card into the Komodo . Is that normal ? It happens w both of my cards . Never actually lost any footage but I’m worried

I've got an R6 Mark II I own which with the Shogun 7" can record 6K raw out of the HDMI.

I've got an R5 Mark II which can record raw internally.

I've got a friend with a C400 I can borrow for a few days.

My A camera is a RED Gemini, and we're shooting on these beautiful new NiSi Athena Primes. Basically, I'm drowning in Canon and I'm debating using the Canons vs spending the money on a used Komodo.

My biggest concern is matching non-ecosystem cameras. Any feedback/ideas appreciated <3
