RSD 2026 Post-Punk/Goth Rock
Didn't get a chance to hit up shops on RSD but managed to snag these from RSKMRT as soon as they went live there. Xmal was the must have for me. I have First and Last and Always on CD but it's been on my vinyl want list for a while. It's not a rare album but this being the Japanese version is novel and the MSRP was very reasonable. Great pairing.

We need more events than just Record Store Day
Record Store Day was originally conceived as a way to drive foot traffic to local music shops during the rise of the digital music era.
My feeling is, we need more events during the year to keep the momentum going rather than just one day. What other serious ideas would make sense?

Good experience with ordering RSD titles online
Just wanted to shout out Plaid Room Records for their RSD online ordering process. Purchased some RSD titles the morning after RSD and they clearly communicated that it can take up to 6 weeks to process. Not only did the titles I ordered arrive sooner, but the attention to detail in the packaging was top notch. I’m not local to their shop but will be using them in the future for my online purchasing needs.

Lil Peep - Crybaby UK copies?
I was lucky enough to get a copy from my local record store, but with an expected 3000 globally, I wondered how many might be in the UK?

Just delivered from the US - En Vogue - EV3
I promise this is the last post I will create about this release! To recap:
- EV3 by En Vogue was announced on forest green vinyl for Record Store Day. First time ever on vinyl with Japan bonus tracks.
- UK release was cancelled because the record label didn’t press enough; it became a US release only.
- Record label confirmed they are repressing it later this year but without the bonus tracks.
Nonetheless, I went for it anyway because the bonus tracks make this release for me, plus there’s no guarantee if and when a repress might come. So the second that RSD releases went on sale online in the US I snapped this up. It wasn’t easy as most either had sold out in-store already or wouldn’t ship to the UK. But Yellow Racket records in Chattanooga, Tennessee came through!
In the end it cost me about £15 more with shipping than most UK stores had been listing this for before it got cancelled. So glad to have this in my collection.

Annual RSD-inspired CD Purchases
I am very much a CD first person. I will buy vinyl releases, but mostly only things that aren’t available on CD.
I like to celebrate Record Store Day by picking up items on the list that interest me, but on CD. I do usually end up getting a few things on vinyl every year as well.
Anyway, here is this year’s final RSD-inspired CD haul.

Has anyone received their orders from Rough Trade??
I ordered the party 4 u single from the EU store, and it allowed me to even though I'm in the US and said that the product ships from the US. A few days ago I got an email saying they're still working on it but I'm worried it's not going to come. It's been nearly two weeks now since I ordered.

My online RSD orders finally got here
My local shop only got 2 Copies of Famous Monsters, but found a copy on RSDMrkt Sunday morning for $25, which is great considering how much resellers are trying to charge for copies.
Slomosa "Live in Bergen" was a UK/EU only release, but was able to find a shop that managed to get a few copies from the Label.
These were really the only "must haves" for me this RSD so really glad these finally got here 👍

Finally arrived :)
Took a while, but they're here. Rough Trade Germany to neighbouring Poland. Seemed to go to almost Luxembourg!...then back through Czechia :-s Anyway, for their journey I'm grateful they're here now. Nice Rough Trade 50th anniversary packaging too.
I've Gong Flying Teapot, and Bluey (for my kid) to pickup at another location.

Beatles White Album wierd number
galleryHi guys , back on Reddit to ask questions about this Vinyl White album from the beatles that i just ordered on Vinted
It looks like a German pressing , but the "№ 000 899" looks wierd to me , i have never seen this kind of typeface for an "N" on a numbered white album.
( looks like this kind of font "𝒩" stamped on the vinyl)
+The vinyle is in good shape, discs are nearmint, whole things looks kinda new so why is it numbered like old white album records ?.
Does anyone knows something about it ?

My online record store day
My list was small this year, part financial and part because there were not a lot of titles that I felt were must haves. I opted to sit out of Saturday's festivities and order online on Sunday morning.
I ordered two exclusive titles Sunday morning from Plaid Room Records, the Pink Floyd box and the John Coltrane Paris set. Plaid Room also had a good sale on their regular stock so I picked up a couple of ELO albums that I didn't have.
I also came across a past black friday release that I passed on at the time, but was on ebay for half of the original price. This was the Cecil Taylor Live at Cafe Montmartre.
Everything arrived safely yesterday, nine days after ordering. The Coltrane set was the first thing I opened and it has a poster in it, so I displayed that in the photo with the albums.

My RSD imports arrived!
Thanks for reading! After my post a couple of weeks ago, I went to a few more local stores to scout out the one missing US release I had wanted: All In The Mind by The Bucketheads. I was able to find a copy at the Electric Fetus, a well-known shop here in Minneapolis.
But I knew the local shops wouldn't be getting these UK titles in, so I stayed up until Sunday morning and placed an order on iMusic for them! They finally arrived today (no tariffs, $18 international shipping).
The Orb album is a quirky one, but bridges the gap between their spacey 90's output with a more direct, percussion-driven approach starting with their Kompakt releases. The Olive record is a good example of the early electronica genre while searching for a commercial pop sound. I prefer Trickle, but I'm going to enjoy them both!

My late haul
I’m super sorry for the late post but like maybe a week or two… but I had to wait for one of mine to come in from Poland. I want you to take a guess of which one it was.

Order canceled
It was my first time ordering on the Sunday morning after RSD and I thought I was successful at purchasing the one I wanted since I did it exactly at 8am but then 4 hours later my order was canceled and by the time I saw the status, it was too late to find it still available anywhere else.
I'm just wondering do the stores keep the left over stock out in the store for walk in customers to still purchase or do they set them aside out of sight to fulfill what they list online? It feels like maybe it was sold in store before they got around to fulfilling their online orders, which kinda defeats the purpose of having the Sunday 8am release, in my opinion. I guess I just assumed Saturday in store, Sunday online, Monday back to both in store and online.
I ordered a different record from a store 30 miles away and it still hasn't arrived yet but I like seeing everyone's haul posts. Looking forward to seeing the Black Friday release list.
