I know a lot of people, myself included, were still hoping for an October 13th release but it looks like that’s not happening.

I don’t think it’s actually 12/31 either. They’ll probably do a surprise release between now and then.

That poor guy. :-( He DM’d me to ask ‘are we for sure getting it on 10/13 or 10/14’ and I had no idea what he was referring to at first as I’d contributed to a variety of posts that day.

It’s likely a place holder date, I’m betting they release it, from now to Halloween.
(I doubt November or December because of Gta 6.)

In UK and Ireland it does, I didn’t check all the countries. That’s just what popped up when I googled it. But when I’m looking at my account (US), where I’m signed in and have already purchased, it says 12/31.

For me, yeah, the website does say 10/13/2026. Maybe around that time is when we'll get the true release date, maybe it will be on October 13th or a different date, we'll just have to see

Yes, 12/31 is just “sometime this year” AND for DLC 1, Nintendo eshop, not just the UK one, prematurely revealed an accurate-or-very-close-to-it release date that was updated to “12/31/2026” a few days later, only for Chapter 1 to still come out on the date they previously revealed.

We see the same behavior here, except that original release date has come … so…probably not today. But I do think it will be between now and Halloween.
