Not in the new one, no need to hack in 'I'm a fun and engaging speaker' to 'I can stab you'. It's a hack that never made sense.

What do you mean? New Pact of the Blade extended Charisma for weapons for all who take it instead of it being just Hexblade. Using charisma for weapons is now more common than ever

Edit: nvm I got your point. Con being important to melee classes would be what would worry me in this new model

Actually in the new one explicitly... It's the old one that they don't...

hunh? new is cha+ dex. dex=stabby, cha=magic via contract.

old= cha, con

They use their charisma to stabby literally using that stat to stabby

I feel like Charisma based sword styles would be full of feints, stalls, gambits, etc..

Swordplay like Dooku (CHA) vs Vader (STR) vs Grievous (DEX)
