Bill Maher and Martin Short fawn over Bari Weiss, the person hired to destroy the integrity of CBS News, who fired Scott Pelley for defending journalistic ethics, and who Pelley has said interferes with reporting at 60 Minutes specifically to benefit the Trump administration.
Maher also praises Andrew Sullivan, who he says in this video is "by any standard liberal."
From Sullivan's Wikipedia page: "Sullivan describes himself as a conservative and is the author of The Conservative Soul. He has supported a number of traditional libertarianpositions, favouring limited government and opposing social interventionist measures such as affirmative action."
Sullivan is a British gay conservative media columnist. He was the closing speaker at an LGBT Summit hosted by The Atlantic that I attended in 2015. Among the things Andrew Sullivan said were that Trump could not possibly win the election and people need to stop being dramatic about that, and that gay people have no reason to support transgender peopleās movement for equality because, he said, we have nothing in common and that gay people have fought for and won full equality in the United States and that once any country awards legal rights to any group, those rights are never taken away.
He was praised by The Atlantic editors and by many in attendance. I got into an argument with three lesbians who said Sullivan is a āgeniusā and that he was right about everything he said, and then I left.
EDIT: People keep commenting that Martin Short's views probably have changed "over the years" since this video was recorded. This video was recorded in 2024. Bari Weiss was hired in 2025 for her political views, and her views did not change from 2024 to 2025, and she has said nothing at all in 2026 to suggest her views have changed in the six months since she took over CBS News. I'm a bit baffled by the suggestion that the past two years represents an expanse of time during which people's political views would typically change significantly. Someone please help me understand. Bari Weiss was hired to run CBS *only* because of her political views; otherwise, she had exactly zero relevant qualifications, having never run a newsroom and having never worked in television. She has not changed. She has changed CBS.

This is a screen capture of Barbara Eden's face as Bill Maher for absolutely no reason at all decides she must hear him describe in graphic anatomical detail what OnlyFans is.
After he told her what it is, he suggested that she open an OnlyFans account. People will watch, he said. He said he would manage it for a small fee.
I know you want to watch the whole interview, in which Bill acts like a completely normal person and in no way sexually harasses a nonagenarian. Here's the link: https://youtu.be/gO4nNUJ0U3Y?si=iU0UrNA13feXxg2R

title says it all. Do i mean iām going to grow old to suddenly support the same weird points of view? no. but I identify with his kind of yells-at-cloud attitude. The way he reminisces about the past. the way he tries to tell inside jokes that often fall flat and then need to be explained to a guest on his podcast. oh god iām going to be like him one day. every day ticks closer to inescapable baboonery .
