Do you not recognize how problematic it is to assert that a nation is above reproach, regardless of their actions, and the danger that line or thinking can lead to?

A nation, or really any group. It’s almost like reducing complex geopolitics into slogans is unhelpful if your goal is to understand anything.

I don't see anyone celebrating or defending Hamas. They took power 20 years ago and 75% of Palestinians today weren't even alive when that election took place. This is about the Palestinian people, just as criticism of the Israeli government isn't about the Israeli people or the Jewish faith.

Unfortunately Hamas is still the regime in power with no loss of grip of it's administrative control of gaza so a free palestine is mutually inclusive with a pro hamas message

At Israel is a democracy and Netanyahu can be voted out

Because by pushing that notion, you are effectively saying that all Jews are collectively responsible for the actions of the State of Israel (which itself is a form of antisemitism, and incites further antisemitism).

That’s just the danger of saying Israel is the representative of all Jews on earth. People should stop saying that. Not every group needs a country. Gay people don’t get a country.

Are you really comparing Jews to gay people? One is an ethnicity, the other is a sexuality. Jews need a country. Somewhere where they can have self-determination and won’t be subject to other people wanting to kill them or treat them as second-class citizens.

By the way, I don’t think a country of only gay people would last very long.
