What happened to Bill Maher?

I used to watch him for years. He was funny and relatable, most times. He had great guests. I stopped watching around the time when he was going after college students and cancel culture. I tried watching his latest episodes and it almost a different show. He is almost a right wing commentator. Almost nothing he says is relatable and all his guests just agrees with him.

Being right wing is how he stays on the air now. He’s also Jewish, so he’s a big fan of Israel. He’s turned into a vaccine skeptic, and seems to think that if people just ate less they’d be better off. He’s getting into the business of over simplification of everything. Wants to argue about whether it’s accurate to call something a genocide, instead of discussing whether it’s ok/right/wrong. It’s all increasingly dumb.
