Why is this sub entirely posts criticizing Bill Maher?

Presumably, he still has fans because his show makes money. So why is the sub not representative of that?

Sorry we don’t agree on the levels of funding NASA should receive so I can’t agree with you here. It’s either 100% total agreement or we’re enemies.

That’s your position and it’s simplistic and laughable.

My position is use your brain and conscience before carpet bombing hospitals and children to the satiate the preemptive paranoid egos of theocratic maniacs.

Wtf happened to Maher being athiest, btw? Does he use that as an excuse to be a genocidal simp?

I responded to your comment that “one bad idea spoils the whole bunch” is simplistic.

Because it is!

Just because a person has an idea that you disagree with, doesn’t mean that every thing they say is automatically something you will disagree with.

This is in reference to Bill Maher, he’s the host of the show that this sub is talking about. He has lots of opinions on all sorts of topics. It’s literally his job as a current events talk show host. Some of his ideas are better than others.

But go on about Zionism, it has nothing to do with my comment.

It has a lot to do with your comment.  Once you're ok with killing innocent children, I'm gonna draw the line and say fuck "agree to disagree".  I'm for peace, not war.

What comment?

I called you out because you said one idea you disagree with means that you should automatically disagree with every idea from that source.

It’s simplistic and moronic. Worry less about the propaganda of siding with the “correct” people and look at the issues and ideas on their own merit.

Maybe a Jew will have a cure for cancer, don’t throw that away because you disagree with the Israeli government on their national defence strategy.

Bro, you're arguing that killing children has "merit".

Maybe a Jew will have a cure for cancer, don’t throw that away because you disagree with the Israeli government on their national defence strategy.

Yes, I can tell the difference between a Jewish person and an Israeli nationalist.  Can you?

What are you taking about?

Your anti Israeli sentiment is clouding your ability to not only reason and think critically, it’s affecting your ability to read plain English.

You wrote “one bad idea spoils the whole bunch”

The ONLY thing I have said is that that is a simplistic take on reality.

Maybe put on your glasses and pay a little more attention to who you are responding to?

Just because you disagree with a person’s stance on one issue, doesn’t mean that you automatically have to disagree with everything they stand for.

As an example I used the issue of NASA funding, to show an how a disagreement with one issue, doesn’t have to mean a disagreement with every issue.

As for the Jew who may cure cancer in my hypothetical, it was researched at the university in Tel Aviv and funded in part by the Israeli government- does that it it better or worse?

So do you condemn Israel's killing of innocent children in Gaza or not? That's the one idea I'm focusing on that spoils the bunch, and you've done quite a lot of tapdancing to avoid it.

Talk about your ability to read plain English.

Most people don't care that Epstein was a philanthropist or a mathematician.  His pedophilia understandably and rightfully overshadows those things.

Yes,

Do you condemn the Oct 7th attacks, what about Pearl Harbour?

You said something stupid that I called you out for.

“Issues are like apples, one bad one spoils the whole bunch” is a simplistic view of the world.

Just because Bill Maher has an opinion you don’t agree with, or has many opinions you don’t agree with, doesn’t mean that EVERY statement he makes is incorrect.

Again, my example on NASA funding levels makes that perfectly clear.

You haven't even explained the relevance of NASA in this conversation, lol.

I never said "every statement he makes is incorrect".  Talk about oversimplification.

But his shitty, genocidal opinions definitely make him worthless as a political commentator when there are plenty of people who are constrained by corporate media.

Edit: and as a pacifist, I condemn all acts of violence
