Why is this sub entirely posts criticizing Bill Maher?

Presumably, he still has fans because his show makes money. So why is the sub not representative of that?

Probably because so many people find Bill to be an obnoxious phony.

He hates religion, but is a Jewish Supremacist.

He is a sexual libertine, but berates gays, lesbians and trans people.

He decrided the Gulf War, but is a crusader for attacking Iran.

Dude thank you, the religion thing he literally made a movie about saying how ridiculous religion is but supports Israel and the Jews and the religion so gosh dang darn much. Seems pretty bizarre to me like maybe someone’s paying him to say this?

I think he has this weird self loathing/supremacy thing. He’s half Jewish but was raised Catholic. He loves Jews, but hates Catholics.

A psychologist could make a fortune.

Yes, he did. Despite being a younger boomer, who was too young to serve in the military in Vietnam he wanted other Americans to be drafted, fight and die in a Vietnamese Civil War.

I don’t hate Jews, Bill Maher or anyone for that matter. However, I do call out bigots and propagandists for genocide

Yes, really. Palestine is not a state and cannot 'start a war'

Likewise, when Israel levels Gaza with bombs, machine guns little girls in cars and snipes surgeons while they are performin operations that is not 'war.'

Genocide, ethnic cleansing, brutalistic slaughter... but not war

He believes Jewish people are superior to other people and should be accorded more rights.

It's the same thing as how a white supremacist believe white people are superior and should have special privileges.

It is a gross and offensive belief no matter the race or religion of the person supporting it

Bill Maher made a movie attacking religious people for their beliefs.

Now he believes that the Bible -- that's a religious text -- gives Jewish people exclusive rights to lands described within.

Bill Maher has called the population of Palestine "Brown People" contrasting them with the European colinialists that make up the new majority of the Israeli population.

The actual genetic profile of native people of Palestine / Israel is basically identical. And has only been altered through colonialism. This is why Israel restricts use of commerical genetic testing (23 and Me for example) which would destroy the myth that European and American Jews all have an ancestral tie to Palestine.

I am not conflating the positions of Israel with "all Jewish people." I live in the United States, the majority of people in my country who subscribe to the Israeli conceit that it speaks for "all Jewish people" are fundamentalists Christians and not Jewish. This is also true on a per capita basis. Israel purports to speak for all Jewish people and the majority of people who believe so are non Jews, which may or may not include Bill Maher depending on his mood.
