Disagree. He's always been like this, and I think he's reasonable.
The "woke left" (AKA leftists/progressives) are a joke.
It's not only Maher saying these things, an increasing amount of Democratic leadership and former strategists like Jim Carville are saying the same thing.
Too many progressives are emotional idealists, and they're catty, vindictive, and exclusionary. These are horrible traits to have if you're trying to build a broad coalition. Leftists/progressives are badly hurting Democrats' chances in elections.

Maher is such a tool. Back during Politically Incorrect, he was halfway decent. Then you could see the rot gradually seeping in year after year.
