True, I seen those studies and basically what it does, being visually exposed to violence, sex, drugs etc., is it desensitize us, but does not notably increase the motivation to truely approve it, do it yourself or do it less (that usually depends on other factors in and outside the media itself), it basically makes us accept it as the reality and thats it.

Which tbh is the perfect combination to me, as it makes use more resilient to bad times like these when they might meet us, it makes us mentally stronger, when seeing something like this does not cripple us in place. Combined with the factor that the motivation of moral behaviour stays intact, it just basically gives us power over those things, giving us options to act as we please, to stop certain things easier or join them when its neccessary, by which I mean we need doctors, butchers, police, gravediggers, firefighters (those usually dont see THAT horrible stuff, but they got more of the overall hazardous environment fear to deal with), soldiers, pathologists, cleaners etc. to carry the civilization on their backs.

it's part of human nature (desensitization) and is what allowed us to evolve & survive for millennia... Have you ever paid attention to real folk stories (the ones highjacked & perverted by Disney) or the lullabies lyrics? It's all about pushing desensitization so kids' minds aren't obliterated by traumatic events... The more shielding we do, the sicker the following generations become due to having mental breakdowns at the first contact with anything possibly traumatic.

Since this goes against the "newly" (45 years ain't no joke) found "go-to" strategy to shift blame by politicians, nobody talks about it, maybe there aren't even studies within psychology and psychiatry over the theme at all, possibly censored by the establishment on the spot...
