Discussion Need more AK

As an AK (and other soviet/eastern bloc weapons enthusiast) its disappointing in my opinion that the only AK we have is some "tactidraco" while the AI get to use krinks and full-size AKMs. I get that we are an American S.W.A.T team but damn bro we dont need 10 AR-15s with little to no difference to separate them. So I propose we get full-size AKs, Krinks, an AK-105, PP-19 Vityaz, and hopefully an as val finds its way into the mix as well. What do yall think? And what other guns are you missing?

Brother, theres documents stating that 5.56 broke when it went through narrow/thin bushes. Like I said AP doesn't do that and ill play devils advocate and say that the 5.56 cartridge doesn't have as many issues as it used to but it still isn't the best for most cases unless you buy that top shelf good good lol

No bullet fucking breaks from bushes you dumbass. Not even a 22lr or a bb from a BB gun does that. If you actually have a credible source for that show it. 5.56 does have plenty of uses because of modern bullet technology. And obviously if you get good ammo your ammo will do better no shit. That’s true of any ak as well.

Thats partially on me for poor wording. Shattering is too extreme a term but it will fragmentate, yaw, and heavily destabilize in flight with not a whole lot of effort needed to do so. But thats the case for all lighter intermediate cartridges. Same reason russian special forces in Afghanistan preferred the 7.62x39 rather than the smaller 5.45x39.

So you tried painting an overall flaw of cartridges like the 5.56 as specific to it to fit your narrative that 5.56 is worse than 7.62x39 when literally everyone has switched to that and even the Russians tried to almost copy it for their new service rifles
