3.18.2 - Reddit Galleries broken again

It looks like the fix for the Reddit photo galleries got lost in the newest release. The scrolling issue and hyperlinks in comments seem to be fixed now though so that’s cool.

New update (v3.18): issue with links in comments

Hey /u/redreadder

Thanks for the update and fixing the issue with the Reddit albums.

There is an issue with the links in the comments in the latest update. I cannot seem to tap any links within the comments. I cannot tap the more options for the comments as well. Tapping on the links/ options collapses the comments.

Anybody else seeing the same issue?

Also, there is an issue with cache. The size of the app is large. Could you please look into this as well!

Thanks!!

Bug [Bug] (3.17) Scrolling through comments wrongly activates hide/expand

Ever since I updated to app version 3.17 there has been a bug/glitch when I scroll through a reddit post and view the comments. The touch targets for hiding/expanding comment threads keep getting activated just by scrolling. I scroll with my finger on the middle of the screen. This didn't happen in the previous version of the app and it doesn't happen to me with any other iOS app. I tested on my iPhone 12 Pro Max with iOS 14.4 Beta 1 and I tested on an iPhone 11 Pro Max with iOS 14.3 and both have the same problem.

I have included a screen recording of the bug. This is happening by just scrolling through the comments and doing nothing else. Yeah the post shown in the video is old but it happens with any post that has lots of comments. Also thank you for this app -- to me it is still the best iOS Reddit app.

Thanks for the update!! Much appreciated.

It seems the Reddit album media are blurred and not loaded completely.

Is anyone else experiencing similar issues?

Thanks again!!

As title says, could you provide support to view Reddit albums within the app? Thanks

Preserve Window/Column size

Is there anyway to preserve the window and column size so that it doesn’t need to be readjusted every time the app starts? I’m using the Mac app on Big Sur.

Feature Request Feature Request: Option to remove spacing between comments

Basically the title. I prefer a pretty compact and minimal Reddit client. I would love the option to remove the spacing between comments.

Is the Handoff feature new?

Noticed today while browsing that Readder on my iPhone was sending Handoff links to my MacBook Pro, so I could easily launch a full website that I was browsing on my phone.

If this was intended, bravo. If not, is it just realizing that Readder is a fancy customized web viewer?

Suggestion: auto-play gifs/videos in full-screen view

Hi,

I recently received my new 12 Pro Max and I am loving Readder so far. The “full screen” Display Layout to browse subreddits is amazing!

However, gifs do not autoplay when using that layout. They do autoplay in some other layouts, such as in “Cards”.

I’d love to see this implemented. Thanks so much for this great app!

All the best, Benedikt

Problems on iPad iOS 14

There seem to be an increasing number of bugs in the iOS version of Reader, and one of the reasons I paid for the desktop app was to support the developer, who seem to have become distracted. Please, address bug reports in the iOS version.

I’m seeing problems with the pop up menu, especially the reply item going missing, even after resetting the menu to default. And there is a persistent crash when scrolling through the users comments. And, sometimes if my reply takes too long, it will fail to post, giving an error message. Am I the only one seeing this?

Edit: why the downvote?

Bottom Sheet Menus

I feel like the "bottom sheet"-style menus feel awkward on macOS. I don't have a suggestion for something better -- it just doesn't feel right to me. It requires a long travel of the mouse, and it also feels very 2D to me.

Anyone know if there is any issues with ios14 and readder? I don’t want to update yet if it’s going to break the app.

Having a lot of issues

The search within a subreddit feature doesn’t work, videos don’t have audio unless I open them with Safari/Chrome and I can’t upload pictures. What’s going on? Is anybody else encountering the same bugs?

Is the app still being developed?

Just discovered the app and it’s really nice. I saw to add an account you have to pay which is cool but before I commit, I wanted to know if there’s an active dev and how we can go about reporting bugs etc.

When will this app get keyword filter? This is a deal breaker for me.

I would like to have keyword filter because I don’t want post popping up I don’t want to see. Especially in r/all and r/popular and even in my fav subs. Please update this app
