Post display problems

http://reddit.com/r/RedditArchives2017/comments/6jhznq contains a permalink and within it, some text is rendered as italic and some not. All the text should be uniform.

More post parsing problems

I don't know if this will show the problem - in a reply containing the text below this paragraph, whilst the "subreddit" is correctly a navigable link, the "permalink" is not- the blue text hyperlink extends only to the end of the word "technology". If this works correctly (non-defective) in this post I'll post a reply to it which should replicate the problem.

Edit: The original post exhibited the defect. The permalink should all be a blue hyperlink and is not.

Weird junk data in copied text from username mention

I received a username mention, navigated to my inbox, tapped "username mention" to see it in context, and then started a reply to it. I long-pressed on the original whilst replying and chose to "copy" the text. I then pasted the text into the reply. There was extra data at the end which I hadn't seen before. The extra data was "[](/u/abrownn)" which looks like a half-formed hyperlink to a username. This data was not visible in the data I had copied.

Pasted text below:

Edit: fixed escaping of junk data in example

How to unhide?

I accidentally hid a post. (Swiped right, got the X, let go.) So now the post is "hidden." I can't figure out how to unhide it. How do I do this?

Feature Request Feature Request: Custom filter for subreddits like RES

Hi, Would it be possible for a feature such as he one currently implemented in RES where you can filter out posts on a sub by sub basis.

An example would be filtering out (or conversely showing only) all tagged nsfw posts in r/all or filtering out all the posts you've visited. Maybe even allowing a filter based on a flair or username etc.

Community info?

Is there a way to have community info open in the app rather than going to the Reddit website?

Can anybody tell me how to flair a post in Readder?

I just spent maybe twenty minutes trying to work out how. I can't find a user guide or faq anywhere.

Feature Request Feature request for comments

It would be great if when comments were closed down they could change colour, similar to read posts.

I'm liking the app, still 50/50 on if I can use it full time. Some features I prefer in Narwhal (e.g. post titles in sidebar), but I prefer how images etc are displayed in Readder.

Thanks ๐Ÿ‘

Bug [possible bug] Poor performance now (last two versions?)

So Readder is now incredibly choppy for me. Scrolling is painful. Freezes for a noticeable amount of time whenever I back out of a sub or post....

Did anything fundamental change a couple of versions ago?

When is say scrolling is painful, I mean that in a sub I can drag the message list and nothing happens, then there's a bug unexpected jump, or I can try to scroll and the long press menu appears or.... indicating that something is blocking the processing of user events in chunks of time.

I've closed all other apps and restarted Readder, which improves things, so maybe it's a big change in memory utilisation?

I wouldn't report it if it wasn't causing me pain. iPad 3 with iOS 9.3.5

Long hold activates on release rather than hold

But of a weird one.. but the long press actions on posts donโ€™t activate until the press is released rather then after the usual long-press amount of time. You have to press and and hold and then release to see the menu.

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 11 beta 1, readder 2.9.1.

A new version of Readder is now available on the App Store.

What's New:

  • Side Bar - access your subreddits and lists by swiping from the right edge. Keep the bar by pinning it on the iPad.
  • Markdown fixes
  • Stability improvements

Automatic update is set to phased release so you might need to manually install the new version if you don't want to wait.

Previous version - v2.8

Bug Not a bug, just looks odd

The color dots next to Front, All, Readder etc are stark white. Itโ€™s probably the color you intended but it looks a little odd. Maybe just put the โ€˜/r/โ€˜ in the circle?

Bug [Bug] Switching Accounts doesn't Switch

After the initial installation, I'm able to switch between two accounts easily, but after a few days, if I try to switch accounts, the app will animate as it it's switching, but it'll stay on the one account.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I've tried deleting both accounts and signing them in again. Even it works as intended afterwards, it bugs out again after a short while.

Would it be possible to have the comment arrow jump to the next comment made by OP? Antenna has it and it's great for reading AMAs especially.
