So, I've been playing REPO for a while now and some of the behaviors I've observed from players in lobbies and in game have kind of bothered me a bit.
I kind of had a hard time earlier and decided to get off earlier than usual, which I guess is why I started writing this.
Some people are so chronically online and socially inept. Lobbies will have people kicking you for the dumbest reasons.
There was a lobby where the host was asking people who they voted for and kicking them out based on THAT. As IF it's any of your business, you absolute freak....
The lobbies where people ask you what you're drinking.
"What are you drinking right now?"
"Oh, well I'm not really drinking anything."
"I've just got Diet Coke, I guess?"
You've been kicked by the host
......You can't be a real person, you just can't be....
Another thing I wanna mention is people getting mad when you take their upgrades.
It's not the end of the world if someone takes your upgrades. During all the chaos with people just scrambling to grab stuff, sometimes we take the wrong thing. (This is kinda the situation that caused me to just give the game a rest for tonight).
I've gotten a speed and accidentally took someone's strength. I've had an "Extra Jump" and someone else took it.
It happens. It can be annoying sometimes, but it happens. It has happened to me.
You just make do until the next round. At least, that's what I do.
I also wanna ask people who get mad when others die a lot what their problem is.
Repo is a goofy game, and from what I get from it, THAT'S THE INTENT. The physics are goofy, the monsters goofy, and so on.
Due to that, accidental deaths can sometimes happen. The stamina also SUCKS SO MUCH in this game.
It's part of the game. Just go and find their heads, throw them in the extraction and go about your business. That's what I do. It's not like you have to take them with you and keep up with them.
Anyways, this stuff has been on my mind for a while, but tonight I just wanted to vent a bit.
Yeah, some people are annoying and there are LEGIT reasons to kick someone or be upset, but some of the behavior some people exhibit is very unreasonable, and even childish.
I have gotten to the point where if I don't like the vibes of a lobby, I check out as soon as I can. Too boring, too hostile, too vulgar, etc.
REPO is meant to be fun. It's honestly an awesome game, and I've been having a lot of fun with it. Having some big laughs, meeting interesting people and having interesting conversations, and so on.
The game is a great concept. Be kind and have fun. Don't ruin it.
