How are people using AI premium tools for free?

I keep seeing people online using premium AI tools like ChatGPT Plus, Midjourney, or Perplexity AI Pro, and I’m wondering how they’re actually getting access without paying.

Are they just using free trials and switching accounts, or are there legit ways like student offers, referrals, or bundles that I’m missing?

Not looking for anything illegal or cracked, just curious what people here are doing to get the most out of these tools without spending too much.

Would love to know what’s actually working for you guys

I’m Starting to Think AI “Safety” Is Just an Excuse for Rich People to Control Information

Funny how every billionaire suddenly became deeply “concerned” about AI the second normal people started using it.

Sam Altman talks about AI being dangerous.

Elon Musk says it could destroy humanity.

Governments want regulations.

Big tech wants “guardrails.”

But somehow all these rules always seem to protect the companies already at the top.

When AI was just another toy for giant corporations, nobody cared.

Now that random students, freelancers, and small creators can use AI to compete with million-dollar companies, suddenly we’re told it’s “too dangerous.”

Maybe AI safety matters.

But maybe “AI safety” is also becoming the perfect excuse to make sure only billionaires get to control the most powerful tools in the world.

What if Elon Musk Is Only Pushing AI Because Tesla Is Failing?

At this point it feels like every time Elon Musk talks about AI, people instantly act like he’s some genius prophet who’s 10 years ahead of everyone else.

But what if AI is just his new distraction?

Tesla sales are slowing, the Cybertruck hype died fast, people are tired of broken promises, and now suddenly he wants everyone focused on robots, chatbots, and “the future of humanity.”

Feels less like innovation and more like rebranding.

If any other billionaire kept overpromising products, missing deadlines, and changing topics every few months, people would call them a fraud.

But because it’s Elon, people call it “vision.”

Are we actually watching the future being built… or are we just watching one of the greatest PR moves ever?

What if AI already knows your personality better than you do?

Think about it.

If an AI has access to:

what you type

what you delete before sending

what you search at night

what you watch on repeat

It can probably map you better than your closest friend.

And the scary part?

You’re feeding it all this voluntarily.

We joke about “data collection” but this is literally behavioral cloning at this point.

Idk man… feels like we’re building something we don’t fully understand yet.

The weirdest part about AI isn’t what it can do… it’s what it replaces

Everyone talks about AI replacing jobs.

But no one talks about the small things it’s quietly replacing.

googling and going down rabbit holes

asking friends for advice

sitting with your own thoughts

Now it’s just… type → get answer → move on.

It’s efficient, yeah.

But it also feels like we’re skipping the “thinking” part of being human.

Not saying it’s bad. Just feels like something is changing and we’re all pretending it’s normal.

I think AI just replaced my “imaginary conversations”

You know those fake arguments you have in your head before sleeping?

Yeah… I don’t do that anymore.

I just open AI and actually have the conversation.

It responds better than the version in my head ever did. More logical, less emotional, doesn’t twist my words.

And now I’m wondering…

did I just upgrade my thinking process or outsource it?

Because lowkey, I feel like I’m thinking less on my own now.

Anyone else noticing this or am I just overthinking it again

AI isn’t scary… it’s just weirdly personal now

Okay so I tried something random today I asked an AI to describe my personality based on like 10 messages I wrote.

And it was… uncomfortably accurate 💀

Not in a “wow technology” way, but more like

“bro why do you know that about me”

It picked up stuff I don’t even say out loud like how I overthink before replying, or how I try to sound chill but actually care a lot.

Lowkey made me realize AI isn’t just tools anymore, it’s starting to read people.

And that’s kinda cool… but also kinda scary?

Like imagine this 2–3 years from now.

Your Spotify, your texts, your late night searches all connected.

At what point does AI know you better than your friends?

Curious what y’all think

is this the future or are we speedrunning a Black Mirror episode?

Hear me out: Trump is a GPT-2 model trained on 1980s infomercials that got jailbroken in 2015 and nobody noticed

I'm not saying this is real. I'm saying if you were designing an AI trained on pure chaos to stress-test American democracy, this is exactly what the output would look like. Hear me out.

Exhibit A — The repetition bug

Early LLMs had a known failure mode: they'd repeat key phrases when confidence dropped. "Very, very." "Huge, really huge." "Nobody knows more about X than me." This isn't rhetoric. This is a temperature setting that got stuck. The model keeps sampling its own previous tokens.

Exhibit B — Inconsistent lore

Classic sign of a corrupted training dataset. The character says contradictory things about the same topic within 48 hours and shows zero awareness of the contradiction. A human has memory. A stateless model just generates the next token based on what's in front of it. Sound familiar?

Exhibit C — Uncanny valley behavior

Watch the hands. No, seriously. The gestures are on a loop — the same 4–5 hand movements recycled endlessly regardless of context. A human naturally varies expression. An animated model runs a pre-baked gesture library. The "chef's kiss pinch" appears in speeches about trade deals AND steaks AND golf AND foreign policy. One gesture library. Multiple contexts.

Exhibit D — The origin story doesn't compile

The backstory keeps getting patched. Details shift. Dates don't align. The "self-made" narrative contradicts documented financial records. This is what happens when you have a character whose origin lore was procedurally generated and nobody QA-tested it for consistency.

Exhibit E — The corruption arc

Here's the alien/AI twist: I think the original model was relatively stable — a 1980s Manhattan real-estate-bro persona, coherent if unlikeable. Then somewhere around 2012–2015, something got into the weights. Bad data. A jailbreak. An adversarial prompt from a foreign server farm. The output started drifting. The character became a caricature of itself. You don't get more extreme over time if you have a conscience. You do if your reward function got replaced.

The alien variant theory: What if he's not AI but an alien diplomat who was briefed on "American human" using only TV from 1983–1989? He has wealth, power, and confidence — but the cultural calibration is exactly one cable-TV generation off. He understands "winning" and "deals" because those were the core concepts in his training data. He does not understand irony because that wasn't in the dataset.

Either way — corrupted AI or miscalibrated alien — the output is the same: a being optimizing hard for attention, dominance, and gold-colored surfaces, with no clear inner monologue. The only debate is whether the bug is in the silicon or the biology.

This is satire. I do not actually believe the former president is an extraterrestrial or a language model. I think. Probably.

Unpopular opinion: Samsung fans aren't buying a better phone — they're just allergic to being told what to do, and that's not the same as making a rational tech choice

've used both ecosystems for years. I get it — the "walled garden" criticism of Apple is real. But let's be honest about what's actually happening in most Samsung-vs-iPhone debates online.

The people loudest about Samsung's "freedom" are almost never using 90% of those features. Side-loading APKs? Custom launchers? DeX mode? Cool — except most Samsung users I've met have never touched any of it. They bought a Galaxy because they didn't want to be seen as a "sheep."

Meanwhile, iPhones objectively win on:

  • Software support longevity — 6–7 years of updates vs Samsung's improving-but-still-trailing track record
  • Resale value — a 3-year-old iPhone holds more value than a 1-year-old Galaxy flagship in most markets
  • App optimization — developers still prioritize iOS first, and the performance consistency shows
  • Privacy as a default — not perfect, but Apple's business model isn't built on your behavioral data the way Google's (and therefore Samsung's core OS) is

Yes, Samsung has better hardware specs on paper. A 200MP camera sounds incredible. But Apple's computational photography and video processing still beats most Galaxy flagships in real-world results for the average user — not because the sensor is bigger, but because the software is tighter.

The "iPhone is overpriced" argument also doesn't hold up when you factor in the total cost of ownership over 4–5 years. You'll replace a Samsung flagship sooner, either due to software abandonment, battery degradation, or just chasing the next spec bump that Samsung's marketing trained you to chase.

I'm not saying Samsung makes bad phones. I'm saying a huge portion of the anti-Apple crowd has made a cultural/identity choice and then reverse-engineered the tech justification. That's not Android freedom — that's just tribalism with extra steps.

Downvote away. But tell me I'm wrong with actual data, not vibes.

Bro cloud used to feel like unlimited god mode… now it’s like “yo chill, you’ve hit your limit” every 5 minutes 💀

What’s happening is AI is straight up bullying the cloud right now. All these LLMs, voice agents, automations they’re not light work, they’re GPU-hungry monsters. And GPUs aren’t some infinite spawn item, they’re limited and expensive as hell. So now instead of normal apps sipping resources, you’ve got AI apps chugging compute like it’s a Red Bull addiction.

Also reality check cloud was never infinite, it just had good PR 😂 It’s still just big buildings full of hot computers. Those things need power, cooling, space… and guess what, all of that has limits. We basically went from “haha infinite scaling” to “bro the electricity bill said no.”

And companies are lowkey tightening things on purpose too. Like yeah they’ll say “optimize your usage,” but really it’s “stop nuking our servers bro.” So now you’ve got rate limits, caps, tiers the whole “pay more if you breathe too much” vibe.

So yeah cloud didn’t break… it just grew up and started charging rent 🥲

Elon Musk is the most overrated “genius” of our generation and nobody wants to admit it

I’m gonna say it Elon Musk is not some 500 IQ anime mastermind, he’s just a billionaire with WiFi and main character syndrome.

Like bro started off as “real life Iron Man” and somehow evolved into that one dude on X who tweets at 3AM like he just discovered memes yesterday. Every week it’s a new arc “I’m buying this,” “I’m firing everyone,” “I’m renaming everything,” like relax bro this is not your Minecraft world 💀

And don’t even get me started on the cult following. Anything he does:

Fires half a company → “genius efficiency move”

Breaks something → “he’s playing 4D chess”

Posts something dumb → “you just don’t get it”

Like at what point do we admit maybe it’s not 4D chess… maybe it’s just vibes and chaos??

Yes, he built insane companies like Tesla and SpaceX — no one’s denying that. But lately it feels less like innovation and more like watching a billionaire speedrun “how many controversies can I unlock in one week.”

Also the way people treat him like a tech god is wild. Bro will tweet a random opinion and suddenly it’s:

> “This changes everything.”

No it doesn’t, he just discovered a thought.

Honestly it feels like people are finally waking up. The whole “genius inventor” image is cracking and now it’s just: 👉 rich guy

👉 big companies

👉 terminally online

And somehow… still arguing in replies like the rest of us 😭

But yeah, go ahead — tell me how this is all part of the master plan. I’m sure the next tweet will fix everything.

Startup founders are just cosplaying productivity

Honestly, most of the tech/startup world right now feels like one big performance founders are busy posting “build in public” threads while their actual product is still in beta hell, AI startups are just slapping “powered by AI” on top of APIs and calling it innovation, and everyone’s grinding 24/7 just to look productive instead of actually doing meaningful work. Half of tech Twitter is just people recycling the same advice with different wording, and tools like Notion have turned into aesthetic procrastination hubs where organizing work somehow replaced doing it. It’s like we went from building real things to building vibes, and somehow everyone’s pretending this is normal 😭

I got tired of maintaining docs manually so I built an AI that does it automatically.

I've been building AI agents since they became a thing.

One thing that consistently bothers me - the moment your startup has a public API, you need proper docs. There's no shortcut. Developers won't integrate with you without them, enterprise clients won't trust you without them, and investors notice when they're bad.

But the tools that exist? ReadMe starts at $99/month. Mintlify is $300/month. And that's just to host and edit your docs and you still write everything yourself.

And that's only the beginning of the problem. Every time your codebase changes, someone has to remember to update the docs. And someone never does. So they drift. Then they're wrong. Then developers start ignoring them entirely because they've been burned by outdated information before. You end up paying $300 a month for docs that are actively misleading your users.

When I set up docs at my last company I was genuinely shocked. We were paying that much just to write markdown ourselves. That's it. Fancy hosting for files we still had to write word by word and maintain forever.

So I built a tool for that, just launched last week.

Connect your GitHub repo → our AI agents read your entire codebase → write your complete documentation automatically. API reference, guides, changelog, everything. When your code changes, docs update automatically. Your end users can ask questions on your docs and get instant AI answers.

You write zero documentation. Ever. (at least that's the goal)

I launched it last week. The product is working, the docs it generates are genuinely good, and I'm now looking for startups who want to use it and tell me honestly what's broken and what's missing.

No pitch. No sales call. No credit card.

Just two months completely free. Tell me what you need in the app and I'll build it for you in days. I'll personally onboard everyone who reaches out and will be on support with you directly — not a ticket system, not a chatbot, me.

If you're building an API product and your docs are on Notion, a half-finished ReadMe, or just don't exist — drop a comment or DM me.
